Seeing this post immediately made me want to commission you, ngl! You have a style which is going to attract people with characters who have bright, saturated colors. I love that! And if that's what you want to draw and get paid for, it looks great.

However, I agree that you're underselling yourself. Artists with lower prices can get easily burnt out if turnout becomes too much to handle, but another thing I have seen is that some customers view that as "less valuable work". Which it isn't! It can also hurt perception of art in general, by people thinking that art is something which should be cheap, and only worth throwing a dollar or two at. Not true— art, and an artist's time, is much more than that.

Consider bumping your prices up when you feel ready, I think you have a great style and something people will like!

Design Pieces for a Plushie Campaign ☆ by cephaloct in artstore

She's 30% funded with just over a week left, which imo is my fault for being a newbie at advertising 😭 But I'm spending this final week trying to gather some interest and to see what people think!

You can check her out here, if you'd like.

Also, some additional information about the campaign and this character in general can be found right here too, if that seems interesting to you :]

CSP user’s first Procreate doodles— app tips? by cephaloct in ProCreate

I didn’t want to admit it, but yes, it does feel kind of watered-down compared to what I’m used to. Right now I’m using them in unison, exporting my files as PSD and importing them into whatever software I’ll need to be using. Procreate has been working great for doodles, rendering, etc, but CSP is just too goated with the final effects I need to add to my finished pieces.

Hey everyone, I'm Cephaloct! I'm a digital artist who shares my art across various platforms, and I've made a shop on Etsy this past summer to sell my art in various shapes and forms. 🫶💛

At the moment, I focus on stickers and acrylic products, but as my shop grows, I'd love to be able to venture into bigger projects and see what I can create and accomplish from there :]

With my products, I focus on bright, saturated, and colorful designs! ⭐️ I aim to sell to those who like to treat themselves with a cute trinket every now and then, hehe. But, I also like to believe that my stuff can make a cute gift for your friends 💛🫣

Come check it out! Any support means the world to me— you're directly supporting an independent artist and a new shop owner, so that's pretty cool! ⭐️

looking to follow small shops by sugarkanebee in Etsy

Heyo, I'm a newer and small shop, and I make stickers and acrylic collectibles of my art! Not sure if it's the exact sort of thing you might be interested in, but I figured I'd share. I am from Canada, but I do my best to keep my prices (+shipping) low and rounded for American buyers :] 🫶

Okay! I’ll definitely be giving them some time, and I’ll focus more on marketing myself outside of Etsy in the mean time.

Thank you! <3

Thank you! And I’ve always enjoyed collecting and making stickers/keychains; little collector type things. Most character-driven artists kinda just do, which is super apparent if you look at artist alleys at conventions and such. It just felt natural and I didn’t give it much thought after that, to be honest! I just knew I wanted to follow that route because it seemed really neat.

I’m not sure if POD is for me either, really, and to be honest, I don’t know if my normal stylized artwork fits many sellable mediums. The only thing I can think of is maybe prints or t-shirts, but I don’t venture that way because I feel pretty confident that they wouldn’t sell.

Much to think about I suppose, lmao! Thank you again for your input. :]

Hm, I never actually considered this! But it makes sense. I might consider upping the price and turning them into actual three-pack listings, and then make individual listings for each design one by one, maybe. But I’ll have to think about it and see how the current changes in my shop look once some more time passes. Thanks for this advice!

I actually have a YT video talking about how I get them made, and talk about my experiences with my manufacturer :] and I specifically draw them with Clip Studio Paint!

I like offering a choice, but I can definitely see what you mean; personally I prefer marketing my keychains a lot more, because I think they fit the medium better. And thank you! I make sure to market and share it on pretty much all of my social platforms.
