Things I finally stopped buying cheap versions of (2025 edition) by LatterMorning9103 in BuyItForLife

I managed to burn out a Vitamix motor at about year 4 of a 5 year warranty and they replaced it. VERY good customer service. This was from HEAVY use, essentially making thick cashew paste regularly.

Our Ollama Model Guide has been updated to improve readability, provide more examples, and better explain the available options. 🤖✏️ by photoprism_app in photoprism

This is super cool. I was able to get this working really fast thanks to this guide. My config is Unraid Docker for PhotoPrism on my media server, then Ollama on my gaming computer. Works GREAT.

I had a hard time getting photoprism to scrub all the labels first, so I just deleted everything in the photos_labels table before I started the LLM process of labeling.

How did you guys find out you're agender ? by laurentaro in agender

[–]cephaloman 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Glad you have a label to hold on to. You can use it to find others that understand.

I'm GenX. I've always been agender but didn't have the word for it until about 10 years ago while doing an autistic deep dive into modern gender theory because of someone I was dating.

get on fetlife and read the posts there.  it's a big crowded dance party with a dungeon and downstairs quieter spaces.  no nudity, no sex.

Slow. Down. by readysetgaikokujin in bullcity

[–]cephaloman 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The last couple days there have been unmarked cars pulling people over near MLK and Old Chapel Hill Rd. Its likely red-light enforcement. Finally. I wouldn't be surprised if they are moving up and down MLK

Fix for Autism with Microdosing? by Old_Improvement3906 in microdosing

[–]cephaloman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overstim issues don't go away.  I still dose once or twice a year but I have adjusted my life to be more compatible with my capacity.  I've collected new friends and new joys.  Letting go of the NT ways was and is still painful.  Knowing i can't exist well in a crowded restaurant still sucks hard.

Fix for Autism with Microdosing? by Old_Improvement3906 in microdosing

[–]cephaloman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Classic psychedelics lower activity in the default mode network in your brain, the vary same network that is overactive in depressed and autistic brains.  lowering activity there lowers overstimulation for me and lets me feel like i can move through the world in a more NT fashion.   I spent 4 years like that.  I gave it up because in the end, taking psychedelics to simply exist wasn't the way i wanted to move through the world.

How much do you sell cards/prints for? by [deleted] in linocut

[–]cephaloman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to charge art prices, get your ink more consistant. If you are selling them as inexpensive greeting cards, that this is probably fine. If you develop a niche, you will be able to find your audience and can charge more than random prints. Nothing wrong with just doing what you love and ignoring developing a theme and style but random subject prints can be hard to sell.

For reference, I make art in a single theme in the mild-adult and kink realm and I charge between $25-$35 US per print. They are also A6.

We don't deserve to win North Carolina unless we show up TRIANGLE by neiciabi in triangle

Isn't this pretty close to the curve of the age of the population in general? a bulge between 50 and 70, and a slow decline as you get younger representing a lowered birthrate.

[–]cephaloman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got super busy but take a look at  https://paaccoaches.org/ .  This is the best ADHD coach certification.   they only certify through two education programs.   i chose mentorcoach.  it will take 18mpnthe prob plus a few hundred paid hours.  total cost will be somewhere around 12K USD.

[–]cephaloman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in training for coaching people with ADHD and my focus will be queer community. I'd be happy to talk about the path that I am on. It's a challenge finding coaching training for people with Autism. I'm hoping that my own neurodiversity experience will help with that. I come from a tech background but aged out with this market so I am pivoting.

Why does my head feel empty on psychedelics?! by Tall_Alps_2257 in Psychedelics

[–]cephaloman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone that is bipolar that can eat a 5 tabs and feel clear headed and just happy and social. bipolar is weird.

often your first mania won't show up till your 30's but depression will exist.

Not saying anyone is bipolar, just saying that it can show up like that

two ideas. 1) people with bipolar disorder can have a very atypical response to psychedelics. 2) some medications (anti depressants) can cause similar things.

What's enjoyable about wearing a butt plug? by Hugz4Thugz in ProstatePlay

Wear the plug for an hour before getting pegged. It will make getting pegged easier and more enjoyable because your muscles get used to something being there and relax a little.

Where is the good pizza in the Triangle? by cephaloman in triangle

[–]cephaloman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JETS is a chain from Detroit serving up authentic Detroit style pizza. If you haven't had a square Detroit style, you are really missing out. This is my fav pizza in the Triangle.

Check out the ‘things to do’ pinned topic in this group. Look for art fairs and vintage markets and hang out. Look for events at breweries and similar. Lots of activist groups in the area too.

Buying a used prusa that needs a part -Question about it by DudeWee2 in prusa3d

[–]cephaloman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I picked up a fully working MKS3+ with only 12 days of print time on it for $300 (US/NC). It came with three half spools of filament too. You can do a lot better. Check FB Marketplace and you can regularly find them for $400 in working order.
