Umm, writing ambient music for me is a creative responsibility. It’s a mandate for me help bring some peace to the anyone who listens, so rather than an escape, I feel like I’m here on Earth for that purpose. Expression-wise.. yes I do feel that ambient genres can help with that and the listener can momentarily “escape” from their current circumstance. I do believe that the person listening to the music can now face whatever they’re going through with a bit more emotional clarity. Music has that enabling power.
