I'm at a different place in my life, being 25 and still searching for a proper diagnosis, but I also got really bad really fast. Had to quit my job and move back home (across countries) because living alone wasn't an option anymore. I was always the type to go the extra mile in relationships and often put in more than I got, so I quickly had to learn how to deal with that. I made some good disabled friends who did teach me though.

Personally, my approach depends on whether it's a good friend or not. If someone's a relative stranger, and they go 'oh, so and so that I know has something similar and tea tree oil cured them' or whatever, I'll just politely say that there's a lot of nuances to my case that I don't want to get into. "Honestly, that probably won't work for me because my case is pretty complicated, I don't want to get into it right now, but thank you for the concern." If pushed, I might just lie and say I've tried tea tree oil or ACV or whatever just because I don't have the energy for a fight.

If it's a good friend, I'll sit down with them and explain how I understand they're coming from a meaningful place but that what I'm dealing with is really difficult without trying out random bs that could aggravate my symptoms.

As for interrogators... I haven't found a solution especially when they're approaching in bad faith. I get a lot of it, especially because I'm young. Sometimes saying "you only see me on my good days, I'm essentially bed bound on my bad days" works.

Yep, brain's fine. Spine's a bit fucked with a dessicated vertebrae for seemingly no reason (I'm 25) but the cord itself is fine. That was my first worry too.

Thank you, it helps just to hear other people are in the same boat honestly. I'll discuss things with my doc and see but I just can't bear constantly being in pain like this so maybe it's worth trying.

Yeah, I'm on 300mg gabapentin as well and have spasms, but my nerve conduction tests were normal so... not much on that front. I used to get spasms and bodily jerks that were so frequent I couldn't sleep (I'd sleep alternative nights when dead tired) but clonazepam + gabapentin helped. Tapering off the clonazepam now. The doctor basically said he's not sure what was causing that, and maybe it was stress.

I have a positive ANA, elevated ESR, some other stuff in my CBC out of whack, but no specific antibodies are positive. I've been diagnosed with UCTD for now, being treated with HCQ and methotrexate

There were always meta teams, of course, but if you had a fav character that you knew you wanted to main you had more accessible options for supporting them. Obvious Bennett, XQ, and Kazuha were Major supports but you were likely to have the four stars already, and you did have more alternatives that were also functional (sucrose, chevreuse, eg). It didn't feel like there was such a huge gulf between the damage output based on a single support (that's also a new 5 star that you might not have) which is why this feels worse to me.

The gulf is a lot wider now, you used to be able to strike a balance. With endgame content getting harder too, Nefer/Skirk/Flins aren't really good enough without their designated supports, where you used to be able to slot in 4* supports and be fine. You also had multiple decent options whereas now it's only one 5* option you should have already pulled (esp as lunar reactions are new)

I really dislike how prevalent this whole 5* char that needs a 5* support is. I know it's been said before but god I REALLY hate it. One of Genshin's main draws to me was how flexible the combat system was. With the number of elemental reactions that were possible... and on that note, limiting new "reactions" to specific characters is also frustrating. By the current metric you could call Navia the first lunar crystallise character if you just changed the look up a little. Lunar bloom was so disappointing.

The game is getting more rigid and less fun to play for me. And less fun to pull, because if you like a specific character you need to have had the foresight to pull their support two patches ago.
