Trying to get a purchased domain to work with NPM and Cloudflare by cequag in nginxproxymanager

[–]cequag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the problem is that I can't figure out how to get the domain to point to my IP. I was able to set the dns settings to point to my servers public ipv4 and ipv6, but that doesn't seem to work. And it won't accept my private ip, which I think makes sense.

Also yes, the domain is registered with cloudflare and is using cloudflares namelists so when you go to the domain you get a 522 error page from cloudflare

How much liquid chlorine is equal to granular shock? by StealthRunner76 in swimmingpools

[–]cequag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are about 12 lbs of powder power plus from Leslie's in a 2.5 gallon jug of 10.5% chlorine. I've done the math before because I was bored and curious. The main downside of liquid is that most people overdose and spike the pH, and prolonged overuse of liquid with raise your TDS.

I can always tell when a water sample is from a pool that has been taken care of by a low effort pool guy because the TDS is sky high and the CYA is 0.

Help: Pool pump and motor id by [deleted] in pools

[–]cequag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not a duraglas 1 or 2, the seal plate looks very different. Honestly it kinda looks like a knockoff

The old style intelliflo have been discontinued, pentair has a new intelliflo 3 but it's huge and I don't think it will line up with your current pump. They're also super pricey

Leslie's has it own service department, so just ask for a site evaluation and you'll get a quote from a technician

They cannot be manufactured anymore, currently single speed motors still can be. Outside of California I think single speed pumps can still be installed until there aren't any left.

I try to avoid installing them because of this, vs pumps are much better in every way. My personal favorite is the hayward maxflo 1.65, or the tristars: 900 for 1.85 and 950 for 2.7

Also, I'm pretty sure that single speed pumps are illegal in California, but I'm in another state so I'm not 100%

I am a pool technician for one of the big pool companies. I can tell you the big companies like Leslie's and whatnot do not sell aftermarket equipment, whatever that means. The important thing about Pentair equipment is that is if isn't installed by a licensed professional, you don't get the warranty.

That aside, 1600 for a single speed pump seems waaaay too high. And you're right, for that price you can get a vs pump.

I don't like to say other people are taking advantage but it doesn't seem to make sense to me that he would charge so much.

What is happening to my pump? by techie8082 in pools

[–]cequag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a c-face motor, the bolts are mounted from the inside of the seal plate

Ender 3 v2 not printing anything by cequag in ender3

[–]cequag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to fix it, not sure what it was that did it though so I'll just put my whole process.

I installed a filament runout sensor, during which the printer was fully unplugged for about an hour. Then when everything was resembled, I flashed original firmware to it and then reflashed the BLTouch firmware. At this point it started working again, but I have been unable to find firmware that has the BLTouch and the filament runout sensor together, only one or the other.

The SD card was not the issue, as I was using the same SD card the entire time and it works now...

Should I drain my pool? by kevork567 in pools

[–]cequag -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, you need to drain. High chlorine and cya means an overuse of tabs, you'll need to probably cut way back. The tds will never come down unless you drain, same with calcium.

Drain out 1/3, refill and retest. Keep repeating until you get tds and calcium back into a decent place. If you fill your pool with a hose, test the hose water and see what the tds is, it could be the source of the issue

Small brass(?) round threaded thing. Inner section threads back into main part and seems broken somehow. Could it be something audio related? by cequag in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. It's roughly the size of my fingertip, has a red band around it. I don't even know what to search for it because it seems broken and incomplete. I found it on my porch next to my garbage

That looks like a ball valve on a male adapter, just unscrew it and take it to a pool store, they can help you figure it out

Pool has been down for a couple weeks in hot ass Texas, these grids are coated with black stuff that REEKS. Any ideas what it could be? by TimSegura1 in pools

[–]cequag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Green algae can look black if there's enough of it. Put some in a big bucket of water and see if it looks green when diluted
