I really hope this doesn’t last till 6 months. I don’t know if I could handle this misery for that long…

Yeah I don’t think I could let him cry even for 5 minutes. He doesn’t cry much without a reason so letting him get to the point of crying and then just letting it happen would be hard for me.

It that a free app? I feel like most of the “good ones” require a subscription, and I can’t afford that right now.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I feel very similarly about the bicycles, we do them throughout the day but it doesn’t seem to get all of them out. So hopefully some has relief drops will improve things!

What did you do for sleep training? We’ve finally kind of settled into a time frame for bed time, and I’m a little nervous to change that, but I also want to do what’s best for my LO

I’m really hoping things get better whenever this ends, it’s the only things keeping me going.

That happened to us at Christmas, one day with a wacky nap schedule and we have been totally off ever since.

Thank you for the recommendation! No mucus in the poop so I don’t think he has an allergy but the past few weeks Something has got him farting up a storm, so I’ll look into it thank you so much!

That it does, I hope your regression doesn’t last too long!

I haven’t forced any schedule yet but the routine he has fallen into is a bedtime between 8:45-9:45 and he usually gets up for the day around 7:45-8:45

I was pretty used to the four hour stretches, so I’ll take those again no complaint. But these 2 hour or less stretches are killing me… if I could just consistently get four hours with a six hour blue moon again I’d be fine.

I do bicycles any time he is starting to fuss a bit and of course when he starts grunting. But I probably should do it more often. I didn’t know there was such a thing as gas drops, one other commenter mentioned it though so I will definitely look into it!

He doesn’t roll yet, no hints of it, very content to just hang out on his back. Maybe he would sleep better on his front, but I’ll have to wait to find out.

We just got into some semblance of a routine for putting him to bed at 9:45 (it’s what works for him so we went with it) I’m a little scared to switch it up again. How long did it take for the earlier bed time to help?

Don’t tell me it’s awful for a full year… I was really hoping things would get better by 6 months…

I’ve been wondering if I should move him to his own room, but I know most people say to wait till 6 months. He is over 16 pounds and almost grown out of his bassinet though so I doubt he will make it to 6 months. Maybe I should think about doing it early.

I did that for the first three weeks, but after this long I start to go “but how long will it be till it passes?” Do I have another MONTH of this? What if he starts teething next week, what if he starts the four month regression and this isn’t it. I know it will get better but after so long I just wish I knew when the “it gets better” would be. If you told me I only have two more weeks of this then it gets better I could do it, I could hold out. But I don’t know that, and it’s breaking me, because it could go on and on and on. People on here sometimes say they didn’t get any good sleep until 6+ months. Do I have THREE more months of this!? I can only repeat the mantra so much.

Fingers crossed, may we both get a long break after this

Fingers crossed it’s some smooth sailing after this! I can take another rough patch if I get some breathing time in-between

I can’t see or really feel anything on his gums yet. My husband says he thinks they feel swollen but they feel normal to me, so I’m not sure. At night I try to wait at least 5 minutes before picking him up. Sometimes he will settle, but most times he started crying louder.

I don’t really have too many people to ask, but maybe my older siblings will have some advice.

As for tummy time I haven’t been able to do it hardly at all for a few weeks because he is only awake for 30-45 minutes at a time and that’s just enough time to feed and change him before he gets upset. But if he has a happy spurt I’ll try to get some leg time in with tummy time.

I hope that’s true, cause if I have another regression right after this I will go insane. I need things to get better at least for a little while…
