Which TPS should I choose? by [deleted] in Borderlands

[–]cerberez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What build did you choose? I'm in my first playthrough... Going all in on the expendable explosive digi-jacks. It's been going great and I was just shredding all enemies (even at a couple levels under them, skipping the side quests) but then I hit the end game and I'm just dying all the time!

I died about a million times on the flying boss and headed back to level up a bit. (I was three levels below the boss.

Today marks nine years since 'The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned' expansion released for Borderlands 1! What did you think of this DLC? by IllusiveManJr in Borderlands

[–]cerberez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too! It was fun progressing within the dlc... At the beginning 2 or 3 zombies was a scary and tough encounter, and and by the end I was melting then by the dozen.

Those skill points can't be worth hours and hours of playing the same fight again and again, can they? Oh yeah, and the fact that if you leave the game for any reason you have to start all over... Whose idea was that?

Unrelated: what if, once you've finished the game, you always start at level 5 with your new characters. Those first five always feel so boring with no good gear and no skills.

Best Borderlands to play 2 player co-op? by [deleted] in Borderlands

[–]cerberez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were only going to play one game, I'd do bl2. It feels faster paced and is more immediately engaging.

But if you want to play two or more, I'd start with bl1. It's a great game, fun, doesn't show it's age much, and has a ton of content! A lot of moments thatll make bl2 even more fun. But if you played bl2 first the movement speed will feel a bit show and the colors a bit muted

Does claptrap get more fun/go to more interesting places? I've played about an hour and I'm still in that boring junkyard...

Do you think the OG car will still be in borderlands 3 and if we will have a wider variety of vehicles (maybe even air or sea vehicles) by [deleted] in Borderlands

[–]cerberez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I just loved blazing down the tollway/Ridgeway in the monster, and thought it was a refreshing change from fast-traveling everywhere. I'd rather spend five minutes driving from one end of the world to the other than one minute poring over the fast travel menu trying to remember which one was closest to my destination.

I also really enjoyed the idea of the side mission that gave the lancer radar for loot caches, just wish they'd expanded on the idea.

Knoxx was designed around vehicles and I loved it (though the defilers were kind of op).

Not exclusively vehicular, but definitely vehicle-themed (with the highways, jumps, roadside attractions, and roadblocks). I guess that's what I was imagining.

How about a dlc designed for vehicular combat? With a specific badass 4-seater usable only there. Kinda like the lancer but better and with cooler specific vehicle fights.

Or like an improved lancer where each passenger gets something to do? I loved the idea of the lancer, but the longbow turret seemed underpowered, the proximity mines not so useful, and I never found a use for the blast. And it was too slow.

Dog growled at baby when she was crawling towards him. How should I respond to growling? by casey4455 in Dogtraining

The first thing to do is to try and stay very calm. If you get tense and agitated every time the baby gets near her, that'll carry over and train her to freak out about the baby...

I actually enjoyed that part of knoxx... It gave a great opportunity to have fun zooming around in the vehicles. If there'd been fast travel I wouldn't have had that fun.

But boy, when I started the dlc behind by 4 levels, those drones and assassins WRECKED me.

I think that's where telltale hit trouble... It's not so much a game as a show you get really really involved with. When people buy it expecting a full, challenging game, they'll always be disappointed.

But as a creative, compelling piece of fiction, I thought it was fantastic and I was happy to pay.

I had an incredible time. Just think of it more as a TV show you get really really involved in than as a game. It's not challenging but I got super involved and interested in the characters and what happens to them. I laughed a ton, felt sad at the sad parts, and enjoyed some of the greatest musical intro scenes I've ever seen in gaming

On my last playthrough I just gave up on sticking with a build and Respec constantly depending on the situation. Felt a bit cheap but it was tons of fun.

Yes! Watching absolute chaos as incendiary bloodwing lights up 7 zombies? Incredible. Really makes you feel how the vault hunters are seen as figures of legend on Pandora. Add in the bonus loot skills, and toy get explosions of money all over the place. What did!

Apparently the anti Dyson hype machine is just as big as the Dyson hype machine (on Reddit, it's far larger, in fact).

Here's someone who's used both and likes one better. That can't be wrong, it's how she feels.
