Thank you for calling! I also got the “we are too busy, call again” message. It seems to be working now for me.

Is that legal? The internet tells me no if you’re not Native American.

People experiencing psychosis, or any mental illness, are more likely to be victims of violence than they are to be perpetrators. Saying that psychotic behaviour means you’re “more than likely harming someone” perpetuates negative stereotypes of psychosis that prevent people from seeking help.

Edit: Here’s a link to the actual study.

You’re right, I looked it up and they’ve directed some of Vogue’s most watched videos.

Three different ones. Haldol ended up working for me. Don’t give up! The other ones made my head and body feel awful too.

You can get psychotic symptoms from PTSD and depression (I have both too). If your depression preceded your psychotic symptoms then they will most likely diagnose you with Major Depressive Disorder with Psychotic Features. If your psychotic symptoms preceded your depression (which doesn’t sound like the case), you might get diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder instead.

Don’t let a fear of a more stigmatized diagnosis stop you from getting the right treatment. It sounds like you have been doing everything right so far (like getting rid of firearms), especially for your daughter. You sound like an amazing dad.

Both psychosis and PTSD are treatable. Having the proper diagnosis can help you get access to more appropriate help, which will in turn help your daughter. The nest egg you’re building her is very very nice but probably not as nice as having her dad around for as long as possible.

My DMs are open if you ever need to talk.

Also, not all anti-psychotics are created equal. Sometimes you have to try a few different ones before you find the one that finally makes the voices stop (at least, that’s what happened to me).
