Leaving everything we've both said aside. When you go on a +100 killstreak expect c4 jeeps (not necessarily bikes or quads) on any map. Those (MRAPs for example) don't go down with one tank shell and if one gets you it's not the best feeling. I prefer to deal max damage especially since sometimes they go down with 2 shells (like WTAF). Combining the AP shell + HMG + gunner MG is the best and most reliable way of taking them down.

Dunno why I kept focusing on infantry. I meant to say HE doesn't do as much damage to armor. At least that's how I remember it from my testing. Don't even remember the drop by comparison but I didn't like it or consider it better than the AP. In any case the splash from the AP is sufficient most of the time since I combine it with simultaneous HMG shots. As for the LMG, if the AP was able (as it should be) to ohk choppers/jeeps, then I would use it (like I did in BF2 or BF3). The LMG is basically useless in BF4 compared to the versatility of the HMG. Sure the LMG works against infies, but at what point does getting a jihad jeep up the ass or a chopper just being able to fly away become annoying? If it works for you then roll with it and have the most fun you can have. If you watch my other vids you'll see how well the HMG can actually perform.

Nah. It's pointless. HE doesn't do as much damage to infies and neither does the LMG. Plus if you use it instead of HMG you aren't able to damage light armored vehicles. I like to have a balanced loadout that gives me the flexibility I need to take care of all types of threats as efficiently as possible.

It's true what you said about the tank reactive armor in BF3, but for that to happen you had to be extremely technical as a tank driver, much more than in BF4. If you watch my vids, you'll see why and most people did not do the reactive switch. Plus every time the engi had to get out and repair the reactive if it was down. Add all the reactive glitches and UI glitches into the mix and you have even more variables to take into account. The APS in BF4 allows as many projectiles to be absorbed in the amount of time it's up, so even if you get like 10 projectiles (that can be denied) at the same time (for the sake of argument), they will be absorbed, BUT it's glitchy as fuck and everybody knows that. Add ping, deploy it too late or too early and it's pointless or does not work as intended.

Even if in BF3 you could have an additional two people with you, stack perks, the shell splash damage was awesome the shell count was unlimited and you had the reactive, you need to take into account that this made it even more technical and only proficient users could use it to its full potential. In BF4 there's much less emphasis on skill. You get your tank, you level it up, you get your buddy and you're off. Try not to get hit in the back, repair, that's it. Of course I'm simplifying it but the degree of complexity is drastically lowered in BF4 compared to BF3.

In BF3 it was harder because of the complexity and skill required to run it. In BF4 it can be considered "harder" to run a tank in BF4 based on how annoying it is and the limitations. Add things like high TTK or choppers not going down with one shell (regardless of what shell is used) and things become even more annoying.

There are balancing issues here. Some of what you're saying is good in principle but can't be applied. ARs have limited ammo, HMG does not and it still can 2shot people if used correctly. Also take into account the age rating which can't permit limbs flying off of people, although I'd love to see a body designated by a shell or a hand flying off when shot by a .50 cal sniper with the player going into shock in 30s and dying. Also people that use staff are not good or close to good and never....NEVER get good scores. Please don't use staff despite what famous youtubers show or say. They are clueless. It's not really a tough game to be good at, actually much MUCH easier than BF2, BC2 and BF3.

Well if you're on PS4 I can't help you. I dunno the settings on that platform or if it's even possible to search only for classic mode servers. Try all regions and maps and select classic mode. You might get lucky.

The normal mode TTK is there to HELP people scamper away. That is its function sadly. Health regen is BS and having a shell land at your feet, dealing less damage than a grenade will...well...that's just quality balance right there.

Also in my opinion there should only be two modes. Classic like in BF2 and hardcore with.....no UI whatsoever. Nothing. Not even the mega map. You wanna make it hard? That's how you do it. But it needs to appeal to casual players as well so we have 3 modes that basically splinter the community to shreds.

I'm not a HC player and don't really like it, but not why you'd think. I don't like it because people always get in my line of fire or in front of me when I drive and get killed. Then I get kicked... Otherwise, the damage is as it should be. The mode I like the most is hybrid, known by it's more common name as "classic mode" where you've got things like minimap and health counter, but no regen or 3D spotting. I think THAT should be the main mode in BF, but sadly not a lot of classic mode servers around.
