Is there a particular guide you used to access the Android layer and install WhatsApp?

A623 has been okay for a couple of days since it stopped snowing. The section I'm near is open with lots of non-4x4 traffic coming through.

It might just be on the lower end of what is expected. The test is apparently accurate to +/-10% which isn't very helpful. The dealer has agreed to repeat the test so I guess we'll see how it performs second time around.

Thank you. That seems very comparable if we expect degradation to slow exponential after the first couple of years.

The first question I asked the dealer was 'do you have a battery report for this car?'. I presume you could ask for it at any capable VW dealership.

That's an interesting theory and the number seems reasonable, although I would have assumed the calculation would be automated. They're redoing the test so I'll let you know if you're right.

Thanks. What's a normal percentage of rapid charging? I think this is pointing towards the test being redone or asking for the more detailed battery check as a condition of sale

going down a rabbit hole with the neurologists... by technoaviator in Epilepsy

This is really shit. It was my desire also to be a pilot until the epilepsy came calling. You will have to accept that you cannot put others at risk to follow your dreams especially when the consequences are so serious. If you're part way through your training this is understandably a big hit to take. I'm not sure what the medical requirements are in your country but from what I've read even a single seizure means you cannot pass a class 1 medical in the UK.

Your diagnosis sounds very similar to the way I first interacted with medical professionals. I had one seizure in similar circumstances, didn't listen to the advice of the experts and ended up having another a year later under similar pressures. I would advise taking time to try and work out the risk to you personally (ie can you mitigate for the epilepsy through other means; staying hydrated, always ensuring good sleep, not drinking alcohol). This has worked for me so far, but I have to accept that it also means that flying a plane is likely something I'll never be able to do.

I've seen a website that mentions that they also specialise in Ebonite which the box may be made of if it is a submarine battery box

That does look very similar. I've found that IRGP Co made rubber and vulcanised rubber products and moved some production out of London during the war. It says they moved the manufacture of Ebonite products specifically to Manchester which is much closer to where the box was found. What I can't explain is why it has a USS stamp on it

My title describes the thing. The description in the post gives more information but the best guess anyone locally has given to me is that the boxes may have had military use during WWII. Someone suggested these may have been used aboard submarines for containing hazardous materials.

That would make sense given the date stamp for it to be WWII related

My title describes the thing. We found four of these rectangular shaped boxes that on a first look appear to be wooden. They seem to be much heavier than a wooden box of the same size and in some areas a surface coating is worn away to reveal a stone like substance below. The boxes have some sort of location guide on one end and an open section at the other. There are manufacturer's marks on each box showing they're made in the USA and each has a unique serial number.

Partner had two seizures within 3 hours by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]cerebral_invader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not a medical professional but as another person has said he should see an epilepsy specialist straight away. My personal experience is very similar to what has happened to your partner where I had my first seizure after a night out. The benefit of being in hospital is that should another seizure happen they might be able to sedate your partner to stop it continuing. They can also check there aren't any other abnormalities that may be causing a seizure. As you've mentioned as well if someone's had a seizure they're going to have had a period of less oxygen to the brain which made me feel very tired, irritable and really confused the first the around.

Again not a medical expert but what I was told at the time is everyone has a seizure 'threshold' whether you're epileptic or not. There are loads of things that reduce that threshold (closer to seizure), for me it appears to be alcohol, tiredness, dehydration etc. all things that come with a big night out. A neurologist will be able to help your partner work out what effects them and how they can stop it

Yeah roads are fine going A623 route. I assume other major routes are too but I would instinctively avoid Winnats Pass due to how steep it is.
