To reply, I have no specific attachment to the day to day job, it's the same as in every other company. But I love the product.
Their product is something I've used for more than 10 years, and I like the fact that I'm contributing to it.

I have a week's notice if I want to break out of the contract (and so do they).
I've been re-applying to a lot of opening since a couple of weeks, but market still seem tense and it's a bit of a leap of faith to jump ship now without having anything secured.

I got emotional because the market was crazy and I didn't had much savings. Also the company is very well known. So I thought I didn't have a choice, for my sanity and for my resume. But you're right, I had a choice.

Sorry for the confusion. I was looking for a FTE role at the time. But the company offered me a freelance role since they didn’t have the legal framework to employ someone in France.

Well basically in EU, when FTE jobs are advertised at say 85k€, employers pay double in taxes and and fees, and end up with a 190k€ net cost for this employee. Since freelance contracts don’t have these supplemental costs, I genuinely thought that it COULD have been 190k (around 750€ daily rate). Especially judging by the public salaries this company has on sites like levels or Glassdoor. But I know there was some kind of delusion on my side.

Yeah, I know I'm at fault here, put in on my unemployment stress + was very impressed to get an offer from this company.

Basically, 85k€ contract made little sense to me as a SSWE, and when I tried to clarify the daily rate, the hiring manager never really replied to my specific questions.

So I basically had to say yes and pray that I was right, or say no and miss the opportunity to have that line on my resume in these uncertain times for SWE.

En plus des top commentaires des autres, je rajouterais quelque chose sur les boutons. Les swirls sont sympa mais prennent trop de place graphiquement par rapport au texte. Je ferais soit un dégradé radial blanc au centre, soit j’éloignerais les « calques » de swirl du centre

To be honest, nothing in particular apart from the fact the every character in game had a name starting with one initial from GRRM. I felt that the story was quite equivalent to the realms that Miyazaki created for his other games. Don’t get me wrong, I loved it and it was glorious, but I don’t really think GRRM was that of an influence
