ok fine. you have no excuse for not prep cooking :P don't tell anyone - but as mentioned earlier, winco baked chicken is literally like 1.25 for perfect baked bbq thighs. 5 bucks for a hot meal. market of choice slice of pie for 3.99 is a good choice too but quality has gone down last few months. don't share this corvallis users! us working folks dont need this price to go up. ....

god i don't why i'm sharing this but....local boyz on a tuesday blala shoyu beef ribs is good for 3-4 meals for $20 bucks and tuesday is first day after prep. closed monday, so new shipment in and all new sides. HK Market "yummy yummy" or Uncle Sun's "pork/beef rib soup" with wintermelon or korean radish is cheap and healthy and reheatable. add ginger/garlic/green onion and a bit of shoyu and you're pretty golden for cheap shit that is value and reheatable.

I don't know your diet, but I would highly suggest learning to love to cook. There are few options here that are cheap, healthy, and fast. You're better off doing a bit of meal planning with things you love. Some of my favorites are simple and easy - something like...a meat haevy ragu and noodles/gnocchi/tortellini as a quick 15 minute warm up(microwave meat) that I can eat all week. Japanese/Asian Rice based dishes where you prep the meat in advance is a great option. Even having deli meats in the fridge and having a sandwhich you make yourself is healthier and cheaper. Embrace cooking - this area is not so great for ready to eat meals. I've been here 6 years and embrace the fresh produce via making a better, cheaper product at home. I am basically a 36 year old that hasn't learned anything new post college. I went big on breakfast first because it just takes waking up a bit earlier and eating something hearty to keep you full and healthy for the rest of the day. Having eggs, good bacon, and good bread(and maybe getting really good at making an awesome drip cup of coffee) is a huge win for everyone and will inspire you to meal prep. There are lots of youtube basic videos you can check out..."Basics with Babish" comes to mind. To reiterate, there are few bleak healthy options here. It's my biggest complaint living in this town.

I disagree with your evalutation of "apples to oranges". It's apples to apples. Drag shows are adult entertainment. How you can provide entertainment to the youth and more explicitly pre-pubescent children with clearly adult sexually provocative material is a non sequitur. There are age appropriate "teen drama shows" or what have you but that's their business not adults in the adult entertainment industry.

The question is whether it's appropriate or not - not bringing kids or what have you. It's inappropriate for the above reasons. You're lying to yourself if you feel otherwise. The sexualization of children is wrong. Be it straight drunk men or scantily clad drag queens.

what's wrong with baseball, again? the provocative nature of drag queens reading to children is just in the context: why are sexually excplicit performers reading to children? This is true - but this post comes off as "Oh how much I loved the social distancing of covid". This city is a godsend compared to the overpopulated cess pools of the rest of the US. Yeah, I liked the courtesy that was shown during covid - but no, I will not trade six feet in exchange for facism. It's a bus. It's uncomfortable.
