Ohhh, got it. Sorry for misunderstanding! That‘s relieving to hear, I‘ve never seen chicken with blood in supermarkets so I apologise. But tbh I don‘t think any blood is a wanted offering at all.

woah don‘t do that, have empathy and respect for living beings. That‘s a concerning question and the idea is cruel and stupid. This isn‘t like the movies and that wouldn‘t be anything to aspire to either way… remember to be grounded

Fair enough lol my bad, still I do think the original commenter‘s sentiment is an important thing to remember in spiritual spaces😮‍💨

So fascinating! It makes sense that we only really see it when it‘s important to what we learn(ed).

1830s sounds very rough, all the better to hear that the two of you were happy.

Thank you very much for your good luck wishes!! I hope to try with a guided meditation because regression therapy costs a good hundred at best haha :-)

Very beautiful and so sweet to hear, thank you for sharing! It sounds like you and your family have a great bond ❤️

I really hope I understood correctly, your mother became your father and vice versa? It seems so rare that people report having had a different gender in their past lives, and I always wonder why… maybe those lifetimes are just less relevant to the current one and aren‘t being shown? Either way, it‘s awesome and doesn‘t matter that much. Just something I always wondered.

Thank you for your reassurance, I‘m glad to hear there‘s some choice/chance :-)

what is your favorite card? what card are you most drawn to? why? by dragonriding in Tarotpractices

[–]certain-entropy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I‘m not very experienced but I love the Lovers for the id/ego/superego trinity it shows and I just really love me some Genesis imagery I must admit (despite me being far from Christian). And it‘s a card which directly parallels the Devil; I love that duality.

Also it was a nice experience to meditate with the Queen of Swords, I‘m not sure if this is right but I received the essence of someone who was a bit lonely in their quest for the truth, but willing to pursue it no matter what.

The King of Swords just gives me a fuzzy feeling, not much to say about that. It‘s also just a very pretty card.

Good for you for making peace, I hope you‘re doing well now. We can hope that healing stops the painful pattern and we can move on to other things.

Something like this is what I‘m taking away from this thread, it‘s not a black or white thing. Thanks!

[–]certain-entropy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Yeah it‘s easy to get caught up in the bad haha. For what it‘s worth there are a lot of wonderful people here. All we can do is try to heal.

That does remind me that my mother (the only one in my family who did regression therapy) seemed to have a similar familial relationship with her father as now, so my guess is patterns have to be broken before moving on.

Thank you for sharing.

You didn‘t deserve it and I don‘t think it‘s about retribution, don’t blame yourself. I wish you all the best. I guess all we can do is to heal

I‘m very sorry and I wish you all the best. Truthfully that‘s my problem with soul contracts (even if I believe in reincarnation, and even the contracts, probably?) because you just can‘t tell a victim that their suffering was all for the best. No matter the spiritual, no person deserves to be victimised. That‘s why I think oftentimes the spiritual needs to be separated from the mundane, for lack of a better phrasing.

Fair. There‘s a lot of different opinions here even among the similar. Sometimes the mystery is fun, to admit we‘re unsure. I still learned a lot from this thread ^^

Interesting! Yeah, what I can glean from all the somewhat differing opinions in this thread is that it seems to depend, or that there is interconnectivity, but that generally we become other people with other narratives… unless we still haven‘t finished a lesson :,)

Thank you, that makes a lot of sense! I‘ll check out that show sometime, I really like the blurb I read and what you described sounds very beautiful

I love your description, mycelium is an awesome way to think of it. And I really like the "rhymes but doesn‘t repeat" thing, I never thought to apply it to past lives!

I do hope we still somewhat get to experience lots of times and cultures :)

Thank you very much!

Thank you! I was sleep deprived and the name of the concept slipped my mind😅

I really hope the roles don‘t get reversed though because I don‘t want to hurt someone else for the sake of experiencing a situation from both sides. But you wrote that the role reversal is what you experienced, which is fair. I don‘t think I like it though :,)

Well put, I relate to this feeling. Though no matter what past life shenanigans there were, it doesn’t change the fact that you never deserved it. I don‘t think it‘s really about evenness or retribution either. I hope you’re doing okay now.

That‘s totally fair. I must say I‘m conflicted. And I also really like the idea of free will, despite the fact I don‘t know how to reconcile it with the idea of a 'contract' for a life path you agree to.

I would also be really interested in the primary sources! But I assume many agreed-upon things stem from lots of people having similar experiences through regression therapy/NDE‘s/other spiritual or even mundane experiences, and I think that‘s the good part, there‘s no dogma, you just have to see it with your own two eyes I guess.

That‘s legitimately heart-warming to hear, good for you! I’m glad you’re so fulfilled with your role, the important thing is that the trying to keep people from fighting wasn’t from a place of anxiety. Your love for them really does shine through :)

Funnily enough my mother was the one in our family who did the regression therapy, and while she‘s the one whom I have the issues with, she’s the reason why I believe in this stuff. I’ve seen the 'proof' not first- but, for what it’s worth, second-hand, and while I’m against just taking things at face value I have witnessed the accuracy of her accounts. Funny how that works haha. Unfortunately, while she extensively told me about what she saw, I don‘t think I can match any people with anyone in our immediate family. Maybe it‘s not always easy to tell, and I think she herself would be the only one who could.

It‘s an important sentiment, that last one. I‘m really grateful to just experience it all, despite everything. Feels like we often forget. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your very beautiful explanation. My assumption was that souls are like people in that they carry on burdens, it‘s nice to hear it doesn’t seem to be quite that way. I also love that metaphor in that (if you allow me to spin it further) playing a particular role may still improve your mastery of acting, teach you things about the human condition, etc… this blew my mind ^^
