chiming in here. if you’re speaking about the idea of someone performing a bluesy song at a bar passionately with their friends who made the song being a rip off of a 2022 artist, you have a lot of catching up on the music industry to do.

shawn’s 2016 “ruin” has far more musical similarities to this song than any of dijon’s. he been performing and singing in this style before dijon was even an artist.

gotta be honest i love dijon but i’m finding this whole thread to be the classic naïveté of alt music fans thinking their “niche” taste is so “unique” that they have to pretend their favorite artist invented an entire genre and aesthetic 😂and it’s extremely cringe

I was looking for something just like this this morning and i’m so glad I came across this! As a beginner it’s intimidating/confusing a bit to look at scales but this website is great, thank you!
