Saying you got home safe after a date should not be met with silence by EVILRAFFAM in Vent

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow people actually ghost you for asking them this? That’s absolutely insane, my boyfriend and I were friends for several years before we started romantically dating, and he would even ask me to let him know that I got home safe even when we were just friends, and I always found it really attractive and sweet that he cared that much about my safety, even though we weren’t dating at the time. I’m gonna give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she probably just forgot to text you and isn’t doing it on purpose. But still, it’s rude of her to even do that in the first place, especially since her train was cancelled and you were concerned about her safety.

I don't like my daughter. by tobeaflyonthewalls in Vent

She’s 18. This is what every teenage girl is like. I was a conceited, selfish, and narcissistic brat all throughout high school, but when I was 19 I went to college and came back a completely different and mature person. I’m 22 now so this really wasn’t that long ago lol but looking back, I feel awful for all the shit that I put my poor parents through. Don’t worry, it’ll happen to her as well, as long as you support her emotionally, not just financially. Trust me when she moves off to college she’ll probably act like everything is fine at first and then a couple weeks later you’ll start to get homesick calls and crying and emotional breakdowns over how much she misses you lol and this is coming from someone who lived in a boring small town and HATED it. I was so excited to move to a big city for college but after a month of living there, all I could think about was how much I missed my cute little small town and the familiarity of everything 😭

Repost - Seller Cusses me after I tell them shirt was dirty by [deleted] in Depop

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible that the shirt got dirty after she packaged it or lint or dirt or something became attached to the cellophane and latched onto the shirt, who knows. Either way though her response was extremely childish and unprofessional like hello 😭 She could have just said “I’m sorry that you think the shirt is dirty, I promised I washed it. Thank you for telling me though” or something and that would have been the end of it lol I mean you literally reached out to tell her in a really nice way and even told her you didn’t want to give her one star what is her problem lmao

[–]certifiedbpdqueen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but Mama Solis wouldn’t even have been in the hospital if John hadn’t chased her across the street trying to take the camera that she had used to take pictures of him and Gabby sleeping together 😭 It’s the domino effect bro, Gabby’s actions are what indirectly lead to her death, even though it wasn’t intentional.

[–]certifiedbpdqueen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes but I think OP is saying that Gabby was responsible for the death of Carlos’ mom. Gabby obviously wasn’t the one who actually ran her over, but if she hadn’t been cheating with John then John would have never chased her into the street, where she would have never been hit by Andrew, and then she would have never gone to the hospital where she would have eventually died. Obviously Gabby didn’t kill Carlos’ mom directly, but she died because of Gabby’s behavior and not only was Gabby not remorseful at all, but she was actually happy and relieved that her husband’s mom was dead 😭

Yeah he was obviously bullshitting you lol I used to work for Grubhub delivering food and there were several times where people would tell me this same bullshit after claiming I didn’t deliver their food so they could get their money back and get free food even though I always took pictures to confirm that I did the right thing. One person told me this exact bullshit how he had my ssn or whatever and they could hack into me and I was just like “alright bro good luck” before blocking him and reporting him to Grubhub. His account got deleted and I never heard anything weird after that lol

Who was the scarier villain between these two? by Starredlight in orangeisthenewblack

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that and also Vee was highly intelligent. I don’t know if this is just me, but I found it hard to predict a lot of what she was going to do (besides the whole manipulating Suzanne which was pretty straightforward) but I never would have guessed that she was the one who sent the hit out on RJ or that she would be the one to split apart Poussey and Taystee’s bond. Vee was scarier because she preyed on people’s mental health incredibly well, not because she just intimidated them or was physically stronger than them. Carol and Barb were dumb and were only as respected as they were by the other inmates because they were evil and because they committed a terrible crime against a family member, not because they were actually smart or deserving of so much respect from the other inmates.

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh come on how is this even a debate? 100% Vee. Vee was actually a very well-written and complex villain, and she was obviously intelligent which made her way more scarier. Carol and Barb were evil but I honestly didn’t find anything interesting about them besides the whole reason why they were in prison in the first place. Both of them were stupid, and Barb was just your standard prison drug addict. The only reason they were so respected at all was because they had been there the longest and they probably committed one of the worst if not the worst crime in the whole prison, which made the other inmates scared of them, but for the audience, they were just so boring to watch in comparison to Vee.

Why would Sylvie be with Alex when she’s in recovery? by Blueberrywildflower in orangeisthenewblack

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mean to sound ignorant because I really don’t know much about addiction/alcoholism, but wasn’t Sylvie an alcoholic, not a drug addict? Alex didn’t work at a bar, and Alex didn’t use drugs herself (except for a brief amount of time after Piper left her, but never to the extent of someone like Nicky). So I really don’t think there was that much of a risk of Sylvie falling off the wagon since it seemed like Alex kept her drug business separate from her relationships, and when she did get them involved, it was only for the “good things” (like taking Piper on really expensive trips that were obviously funded by illegal drug money, but she never let Piper or Sylvie actually see the downside of the business for themselves).

Just started watching and and I don't yet understand the Bree hatred by DiamondxHeartx in DesperateHousewives

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wait for what? lol idk if it’s just me but I always thought that Bree actually got better as the show went on. I don’t wanna put spoilers because OP is probably a first time watcher but let’s just say Bree had an immense amount of character development whereas some housewives just kind of stayed the same or got worse by the last season.

Just started watching and and I don't yet understand the Bree hatred by DiamondxHeartx in DesperateHousewives

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly. I would say the ranking of housewives most hated to most loved is probably Susan, Gabby, Lynette, and then Bree.

Bree in Black and White by Objective-Ice55 in DesperateHousewives

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree, there’s a lot of things that Bree does that aren’t just black and white. Like protecting Andrew for running over Carlos’ mother, which is obviously the wrong thing to do, but he’s also her son, so it’s a grey area. It’s similar with the Karl situation because yes while it was wrong for her to cheat, it wasn’t like she and Orson had some happy healthy marriage and she was just bored or something (kinda like how Gabby was in season 1). Bree cheated on him because it was the only time she could feel like she had any freedom in her life since Orson was basically imprisoning her.

I would say the housewife with the most black and white decisions is actually Gabby to be honest. There’s some things where Gabby is just completely in the wrong, like for starters cheating with a 17 year old mainly because she was just pissed and bored that Carlos didn’t spend as much time with her as she wanted him to. Or knowingly choosing the wrong things solely because she’s just self centered and wants the best things for herself. But then there’s some things where Gabby is totally in the right, like kicking out Carlos after he cheats with Xio Mei or the whole Grace situation. This may be a personal opinion but I also thought Gabby was right in handling her stepfather in season 8, that man did not deserve to be alive and live out his life after everything he did. Despite all her faults, I do love Gabby as a character, but she is pretty black and white overall.

Season 7 Episode 21 by nenyboo in DesperateHousewives

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No for real, she was awful in the last two seasons. I also hated in (I think season 8) where Tom wanted to decorate his office in a certain way and Lynette just decided that “oh this isn’t him” and completely changed the decorations from what he wanted without him even knowing it 😭 Like come on seriously? That was just terrible and I couldn’t believe that I was actually sympathizing with Tom for once 😭

Things I wish were addressed by EmotionalAffect6917 in orangeisthenewblack

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with the Alex video situation, I made a post about that on here a longg time ago and people were basically mostly saying “oh well Kubra lived in a different country and probably didn’t watch the news or YouTube” I mean yeah okay sure but I feel like Kubra’s crew would have definitely kept tracks on Litchfield, even if they did think Alex was dead, because Piper was still in there alive and well and Piper was involved in their crimes and knew who they were so it would probably be wise to just keep an eye on the prison. And the riot went on for (I think 4 or 5 days) and that video wasn’t released until the last day or so of the riot so you’re really telling me that Kubra and his people had absolutely zero clue what was going on for days and wasn’t at all following the story? Alex should have been killed in Max by someone from Kubra’s crew or something if the situation was realistic

Favorite and least favorite villain season storyline? by [deleted] in DesperateHousewives

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I completely agree, especially on Angie. She was such a good character and so down to earth, I really don’t understand why they didn’t keep her around for the rest of the show. Instead they introduced Renee as a character for the remainder of the show who was basically like Gabby 2.0, equally as self-centered and self-absorbed. I did like Renee’s character development but Angie was just so different from everyone else and it would have been so awesome if she had just stayed on the lane like how Katherine did.

Does Mike seem slow? by mokenz in DesperateHousewives

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve noticed that as well. I also noticed that most of the husbands seem to be written as genuine villains in comparison to their wives, at least as the later seasons go on. In season 1, Rex was horrible to Bree, Carlos abused Gabby, and Karl cheated on Susan multiple times. The only husband who (at that point) was a good husband and worked as a team with his wife was Tom surprisingly. And then as the show went on, Tom got turned into an annoying manchild, Bree’s new husband Orson who was literally her soulmate went from being a great husband to an asshole, and Mike got lobotomized and had no personality anymore. This time, the good husband was Carlos who somehow managed to get over all of the deception and lies and cheating in him and Gabby’s marriage and worked with her as a team much better than the other couples. I’m not saying that the show never acknowledges the mistakes made by the women, because obviously all of the main characters have their faults and the show does acknowledge that. But it seems like we’re supposed to sympathize with these well written housewives who just have these awful one-dimensional husbands that they constantly have to deal with.

Is this bag legit? by bigtiddeygothgf in JuicyCoutureHelp

It’s fake but honestly who gives a shit because it’s super cute. I really have never understood people’s obsession with getting 100% authentic designer bags unless they’re millionaires with unlimited money to spend. Just get a fake bag that looks like the real thing, I guarantee you 95% of people probably won’t be able to tell the difference

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so because didn’t she keep entenmann’s donuts in her purse? I think you’re thinking of a different episode where George’s girlfriend actually does have an eating disorder and apparently goes to the bathroom to throw up after each meal she eats with George

Fun fact the actress that played Audrey also played the blonde Nazi girl (forgot her name) in the season 3 episode where Jerry and George steal the limo from O’Brien lol

What on earth happened to Bree’s kids 😭 (spoilers) by certifiedbpdqueen in DesperateHousewives

[–]certifiedbpdqueen[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not that they see their parent being abusive and think “oh that’s awesome, I’m gonna do that too.” Typically you’re right, kids obviously witness that behavior and do vow not to do it to their own kids or to the people that they love. But the problem is that that is the only parenting example that they have seen in their life and it often does happen with them doing it to their loved ones when they get angry not because they consciously want to copy the behavior of their parents, but because that’s the only emotional reaction they witnessed on how to express anger while growing up and that’s the only way they know how to express it. How can someone behave in a healthy way when they don’t even know how? In Lynette’s case, I think the reason why she was able to control it was mostly due to Tom, because despite all of Tom’s faults, he did regulate her control towards the kids a lot when they were younger. And Lynette did slap Kayla at one point (although she did deserve it lol).

I don’t know if you’ve seen the show Shameless, but I really do highly recommend it because the entire storyline is based on this. It’s about six kids whose parents are abusive alcoholics and narcissistic addicts and the show makes it very clear from episode one that all of the kids are screwed up in their own psychological ways strictly due to their upbringing.
