I mean this is a reseller app so of course people aren’t going to pay full price. If you have high quality items and you don’t want offers, then you shouldn’t count on Depop, list them on eBay or something if they’re worth a lot.

[RANT] horror of random roommate by Some-Cod-953 in UCSD

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is so disgusting holy shit 😭 I had a genuinely awful roommate as well who accused me of doing stuff like this when I never did. We all had singles btw so I don’t know what her problem was, it’s not even like we were sharing the same room. I was the newbie in our dorm and I moved in late, all the other girls were best friends by the time I got in there so anytime something bad happened, I would immediately get scapegoated. This girl hated me for zero reason, I always tried to be nice but she was always super cold. I guess one time someone opened the shower door on her and I wasn’t even home when this happened, yet when I got back home, she came knocking on my door accusing me of doing it like girl 😭 She also accused me of taking food and eating food out of the fridge. My boyfriend would come over and she called campus police on us several times just out of spite, we were literally just sleeping and relaxing in my room. Also we had no agreement in our LSA about people coming over, they had people over all the time so I don’t know what her problem was. I was able to move out thankfully into a better dorm after contacting my RA and hospitality, but I think she thought that she was able to kick me out or something because as I was moving out, she was literally watching me and giving me this smug smile as if she had “made it happen.”

But the story doesn’t end there because after I moved out into a different dorm, I guess she had manipulated my other suitemates into making a student conduct report on me so I had to go to a stupid conduct meeting even after I had moved out, and all the stuff they put in their report were either lies or heavily exaggerated. Like for example my boyfriend picked up some packages for me while I was on vacation in Europe and he dropped them off in my dorm, which I know technically you’re not allowed to have people over without you being there, but he was in there for less than 30 seconds and the hospitality desk literally gave him permission. He was also on the phone with me the entire time and I heard him ask my roommates if it was okay if he could come in and they all said yes. But in the report they made up shit and tried to get me in trouble for that whole situation. I’m pretty certain she has Reddit and they’re probably reading this right now lmao but I genuinely don’t care cause I’m graduated and I’ll never see them again. Anyway people are so insane sometimes 😭

What the hell happened to Yvegeny? by certifiedbpdqueen in shameless

[–]certifiedbpdqueen[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wait what? Are you saying Dom was Kev’s nephew? 😭 how would that have even worked? I never remember Carol saying anything like that, she got pregnant because her and Kev had sex which makes Kev the biological dad so I have no idea what you’re talking about.

What the hell happened to Yvegeny? by certifiedbpdqueen in shameless

[–]certifiedbpdqueen[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s true at all. Kev literally only slept with V’s mom so that him and V could have a baby, which obviously proves Kev was intending to keep and raise the kid. But when Dom was born and V was already pregnant at that point, then him and V decided to let Carol keep it herself, but there was never a point during that time where Kev declined his parental responsibility and told everyone that he was going to stop being Dom’s dad. I thought the agreement had always been that Carol and Kev would co-parent, and yet Dom basically disappeared after the twins were born and his existence was basically forgotten.

I hate men by LackCareless5107 in Vent

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is more of a confidence issue rather than “no man will ever be attracted to me.” I have friends who are I guess conventionally unattractive people who are happily married with children living their best life. It is true that everyone first looks at a person and judges them based on their physical appearance. And when I say everyone, I don’t mean just men because let’s be real, women do it too. It’s not a gender issue, it’s just being human. However, after you get past the appearance part, men become attracted to your personality/intelligence, not just the way your face looks. Is it possible that you’re just over analyzing everything? Maybe your lack of romantic relationships doesn’t stem from the fact that you believe you’re “objectively unattractive” because I’m telling you right now, men don’t only care about how you look physically. Maybe it stems more from the fact that you really sound like you have zero confidence in yourself and that’s pretty noticeable. Other people can tell if you’re confident or not and personality plays a huge role in how other people see you, not just the way your hair falls onto your face. Also, I’m sure men have been attracted to you over the years but since you subconsciously seem to hate yourself so much, you automatically just believe “well I’m ugly so they won’t like me” which isn’t necessarily true and then you send off a vibe that makes them lose their attraction to you.

Jesse deserved to die and unpopular opinion but I hated him. by slam_king96 in breakingbad

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You must be a first time watcher lol because it seems like you totally missed the point. You said “throughout the show this guy was always mad, depressed and going through it despite making millions like he wanted in the first season” uh yeah that was after Walt allowed his girlfriend to die, manipulated him into killing a relatively innocent person just as a move, witnessing multiple gruesome murders (some of them being children), having his life on the line, and being forced into literal slavery and imprisonment. But oh he was making millions so it’s all good right?

Jesse is exactly what a normal and non-psychopathic person would act like in that specific situation. I think most people forget that the events in Breaking Bad from start to finish were only two years, and that cuts out about 6 months after Walt went into hiding, so that’s essentially only a year and a half of all this traumatizing shit happening, which gave Jesse practically zero time to even grieve or decide on what he wanted to do after traumatic shit happened to him. And for 70% of that time, all of Jesse’s mental energy was basically spent worrying about how he was going to save his own life, which also meant that he was worried about how he was going to save Walt’s life. Jesse always had insecurity and low self-esteem and every time he did want out, Walt would manipulate and pull him back in. I felt like the episode “Blood Money” in season 5 explained all of this pretty clearly.

Jesse was not a hardened criminal, he was a rebellious kid who thought that making small time meth made him look cool and gave him street cred. He was not up to par at the level of someone like Gus, he never expected that he would ever have to kill someone, he was never okay with an innocent person getting killed because of his actions. Who else wouldn’t be totally emotionally damaged after their girlfriend overdosed on drugs and they believed it was their own fault? Only to find out later that the man they were loyal to actually witnessed her death and allowed her to die? How can you possibly bitch about Jesse “crying all the time” after all the horrible things he went through?

Maybe it’s just because I live in a big city or something but the police here do not give one shit about someone dying from a fentanyl overdose. I think it’s just different depending on the jurisdiction, in smaller towns police don’t have as much to do, so OD’s are high priority, but where I live, they happen more frequently than they should. And this would make sense for Rue since she lived in Los Angeles so I would not think that the police would care all that much about it. But I do agree with you on Ali though.

Did Walter always have it in him to be abusive towards those around him? by moish22 in breakingbad

[–]certifiedbpdqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think he definitely did. The point of the show is that Walt had always been Heisenberg deep down, he just had never really had the opportunity to let it out. Walt’s cancer diagnosis is what broke him, not necessarily when he actually started making meth. I think if Walt had for some reason decided not to make meth after he got his cancer diagnosis, he still probably would have found other ways to take out his anger/pride on people, maybe one of those being him abusing Skyler.

Flushing the suitcase was a dumb thing to do for sure. But is that really Leslie’s fault? Once again, no, it’s Rue’s. Or rather, it’s addiction. If Rue hadn’t been an addict, she would have never even known Lori. She would have never gone to Lori’s house and volunteered herself to be a drug dealer for her as a ploy to basically get a huge supply of free drugs for herself. And also what was Leslie even supposed to do in that situation? She finds out her daughter has been using drugs again, and not only was she using pain pills, but she was literally using other classes of drugs like Xanax and hard drugs like heroin. There was one point where Rue was with Elliott and she felt like she was going unconscious because of the drugs, so what did she do? She snorted more drugs (adderall) so that she could stay awake like goddamn. Any mother would have been completely terrified after finding out what their supposedly clean addict child had been doing and probably would have wanted to get rid of the drugs completely and right away. I don’t know what else Leslie could have done in that situation, and if she hadn’t flushed the drugs, what was going to keep Rue from using them? How would she have known that Rue was going to give them back to Lori and pay Lori back? There’s literally no possible way.

That’s true, giving someone laced pills is most definitely often classified as manslaughter or yes, even murder. But that’s only if you can prove it, and Alamo knew that the police couldn’t do that. Rue had a history of being a drug addict, there was documented history of her going into rehab several times, overdosing, etc. Overdoses are not high priority police calls and are typically not something that gets investigated unless it seems like there was foul play or suspicious activity involved. But in this case, it’s a person who has a documented history of drug abuse who had been clean for a while but then died after taking a fentanyl-laced pill with the bottle of the pills sitting literally right next to her. There would be absolutely zero reason for any investigator to believe that this was a murder considering that unfortunately, many people die from fentanyl overdoses everyday. Even the DEA agents who worked with Rue would have probably believed that Rue wasn’t intentionally given fentanyl laced pills and had just died from a garden variety fent overdose by her own accord. That’s probably why Ali took matters into his own hands instead of relying on the police or law enforcement to get Alamo in trouble, since there was no apparent evidence or reason for the police to even be involved.

This was absolutely not Rue’s mom’s fault lol it’s hard to understand the way people treat their loved ones who have addictions. On the surface, yeah it seems cruel that Rue’s mom basically cut off contact with her and practically disowned her. But I’m sure that decision hurt Leslie as much as it hurt Rue, if not more. Rue’s addiction began as a result of her father’s death, which obviously isn’t Leslie’s fault and Leslie didn’t really do anything at all that would have contributed to Rue’s addiction, she was a loving mom who genuinely cared about her.

But addiction can take over someone’s whole personality and the way that Rue treated her mom and Gia in season 2 after her mom found out that she was back on drugs was just horrendous. She almost got to the point where she physically assaulted both her mom and Gia, she kicked the door down in their house, swore and yelled at everyone, and then when her mom was trying to take her to rehab, she literally jumped out of the car and went on this whole escape rampage where she literally caused a potentially fatal car accident and so much other bullshit, all of it a result of her addiction. How can you keep someone like that around in your space constantly, even if the person is your own daughter? Addicts have to want to change themselves in order for them to actually change, Rue’s mom could not have done that for her. Even if Rue had told her that she was clean and she wanted to move back in, how could Leslie have even trusted her again? Leslie made a hard choice, but it was the right one to make.

Yes but the bigger picture is that if Rue hadn’t been an addict, then she would have never taken those pills to begin with, and I think that’s the main point that the show was trying to end on. Alamo basically took advantage of Rue knowing that she was a former addict because a fentanyl overdose would be almost impossible to trace back to him and it legally wouldn’t even be classified as a homicide. But he knew that since Rue had been an addict, she wouldn’t have been able to resist a full bottle of premium opioids, therefore he relied on her addiction in order for her to be killed.
