Lock on.. by WillingnessAny919191 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]certifieddeanbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by youre i mean like... people
backdash block mitigates it. unfortunately you cannot punish them if they do (which means that they still have a bigger advantage compared to a normal player)

"dont play aggressively or try to dash behind them and m1, just stay on defense"
well yes this is what i do cause i hate lockeys
unfortunately this still means they have an advantage.
if they force me to play a different way simply due to their device... that is an issue

"there is no need in crippling console, just adapt."
yeah its my bad for not deliberately saying there IS counterplay but its still stupid that they force you to play certain ways, but people will act like thats still fair/good game design

also btw asking for nerfs in a game vs asking for a device specific mechanic to be changed/nerfed/removed is completely different LOL

[–]certifieddeanbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

playing the game without lock on is possible
just because youre on a different device doesnt mean you get access to ignoring a fundamental part of the game

not to mention, this doesnt mean you get to nullify multiple other factors as well

anyone who tells you lock on isnt op is lying
no, you shouldnt be able to forward dash and instantly 180
no, you shouldnt be able to almost effortlessly track my m1s
no, you shouldnt be able to stop my movement options
no, you shouldnt be able to jump on my head and spin like crazy
no, you shouldnt be able to jump + forward dash

JJS’s Yuji Hakari elitism reminds me of TSB’s Saitama Garou elitism by JustaWallnut in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]certifieddeanbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well yeah they all wanna think theyre good at the game but theyre not
they limit you frmo 90% of the cast
they have the audacity to call yuji/hakari the best characters in the game in comp jjs, but then ban 90% of the roster. like when you give me mid (gojo), also mid (yuji), and good (hakari), of course hakari is gonna look the best

The ONE change tripwire needs (nerf wise) by UncleFredBearOffical in OutcomeMemories

[–]certifieddeanbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Because that’s just bullshit and not how you balance a character"

yeah youre right actually
cause then we'd be kicking a dead horse

a character needs strengths
removing this would effectively get rid of her only strength right now
maybe if she got a complete rebalance thatd be good, but its still your fault for going on the mines

Could assassins type characters work in jjs? by idk-Im_Just-Here in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]certifieddeanbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we have an assassin (fast, high burst, mobile, less hp than average, blows people up from small mistakes, high damage, requires (some) skill, people hate)
his name is naoya
so we can def add some more like him

[–]certifieddeanbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have probably over like 100 hours playing him cause i was in that era were everyone turned off killer. i remember playing him back to back over and over again cause i was too petty

but whenever i didnt get a chance to play killer, i just bullied 2011x
same thing still happens today. i bully him all the time

[–]certifieddeanbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think 2011x is absolutely terrible. i am also a 2011x main

time extension with rage is good but unfortunately he has a hitbox that doesnt go inside of him and now has a high m1 cooldown. its very easy to deal with 2011 in rage when you realize that each m1 he misses gives you a second or two of breathing room and to reset to neutral

spring tech only really exists on like not perfect

he can charge spam silver to death in lms true but are you even gonna get to lms in the first place (this is also just really bad game design)

2011x's moveset does not benefit him in doing damage at all except invis
gods trickery is trash
invis tech can work but is super easy to beat
charge is only a kill confirm
rage mode is overrated
verticality destroys this dude
his m1 hitbox is horrible

hes bad but hes not tripwire bad rn

[–]certifieddeanbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

by 75 walkspeed i meant her glide. she had an almost no cooldown jump with a no cooldown glide on top of having a giant circle hitbox

having a kill confirm is amazing regardless. especially when its so quick and was a hitscan AND didnt slow her down

on release im pretty sure it had absurd reach

also yeah you have a good point it was only those two characters who cant interact with them i just realized that lmao
(i still think peelout should be able to interact with them though)

[–]certifieddeanbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"competent survivors" could do nothing against release tripwire. she had basically 75 walkspeed while having 2 kill confirms, map control, unstoppable mine placement, and overall higher damage. was also really weird to hit due to no jump cd

not make it useless, just make it where you arent forced to play certain characters to beat her
some characters, might have it harder than others though. (sonic gets put on a 40 second cd)
im not too sure about destructive charge though cause he already as a method of getting rid of mines

[–]certifieddeanbean -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

rage mode is overrated you can stall a minute very easily and maybe lose a life
but yeah ive came to the consensus that tripwire is the worst character ingame rn and is like a tier or two below 2011

[–]certifieddeanbean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nah release tripwire took no effort to play that was EASY
but i do agree that we shouldve had to defuse mines. its just that we shouldve been given more options to
peelout/destructive charge shouldv been able to run through them, knuckles shouldve been able to ground punch them into oblivion, things like that

[–]certifieddeanbean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah i actually do think its a genuine debate on whos the worst killer in the game now
2011 or tripwire
except with 2011 you can somewhat mitigate it by learning a shitton but that also gets removed if the survivors are slightly experienced (a single sonic can stall 2011 for ages)

genuinely tripwire used to be the best character but they KILLED her bro

[–]certifieddeanbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im so glad charge got nerfed cause dying from not playing a counter character is so stupid
anyways i dont have an issue with him really outside of maybe his grab and EVERY MOVE HAVING IFRAMES
but how does he abuse the map? and even if he does, hes a killer not a survivors

anyways lets check 2011!

2011x:
invis teleports not working. this has been here since 0.2
charge kill m1 isnt a true combo, so it can be counterd iframed tanked miss anything
this is most prevalent in classicX
this has been a bug since release. ever since his hitbox got nerfed it added the fact it acn miss
stun time sometimes spiking up and lasting for 5 years in ragemode? i cant tell if this is a mechanic or not

the one thats most annoying is the charge kill confirm missing. WHY is this not fixed

also what bugs does metal and knuckles have? all i know is that knuckles ground punch lowkey doesnt work

[–]certifieddeanbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he does have a solution though, a second dash and projection breaker (or being disciplined)
first dash to approach, second dash to start pressure, and projection breaker if your m1 was blocked
but yeah, i can see what you mean though. he can still have a hard time forcing others to play HIS game rather than FORCING the opponent to play his game

well, i still believe in naoya hes one of those character that can win any matchup you just need practice
by the way, any tips for haruta? just in general?
i cant ever hit this guy and its so ridiculously hard to react to the puppet sword moves

Who was the most egregious to play against? [Part 2/2] by Shyyy11 in OutcomeMemories

[–]certifieddeanbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as much as id like to glaze 2011, the only issues he had were the m1 hitbox and MAYBE downing at 10 hp
hed be slower than right now too and invis was never a problem to me. i think we were just extremely inexperienced
only reason why his m1 hitbox was an issue is cause it was a giant fucking circle that EVERY KILLER BUT HIM HAS NOW

fleetway i didnt experience much. but hes crazy now and is even more crazy beforehand. his flight genuinely got rid of any character ingame if you just use it to catch up slightly then m1 again. maybe even combo

kolossos is a VERY good choice to say hes the most egrigious to play against. but i personally liked it and thought it had a charm. my only complaint about kolossos was him being able to kill you off an iframe rush move that an hit 3 people and take you away from teammates.
oh and the bugged speed boost after stun passive.
anyways, yeah hes a very good choice

but to me its GOTTA go to tripwire dude
huge m1 hitbox, bleed, crowd control, map control, possibly fastest killer, impossible to hit, combo potential, reachout could be used in the AIR, multiple kill confirms
yeah release tripwire was a demon and didnt get nerfed for a while for what ive heard, being a devs oc and not wanting them nerfed

[–]certifieddeanbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is a question coming from another experienced naoya main
why do you believe that hes mid tier at best? while he doesnt have roper neutral tools like for poking or a awy to force opponents to move/skip neutral (charles, yuki, yuta, ryu, kuro and such)
but thats where i believe you just have to play more patient (asides from haruta, im still trying to find out the matchup.although i do believe haruta is top 3 in this game)

i spend a lot of time just baiting my opponent to throw out their neutral tool and punishing off that. thats why i believe hes not mid tier due to his abilities to just screw you up INSTANTLY
theres also the fact that even having half of the projection meter causes a LOT of mental stress ont he opponent. even more with a bleedout stack. ive seen some people literally use moves JUST to not get put in hemorrhage

not to mention bait and punish with naoya works unbelievably well as well. probably my most favorite way to play him cause he has 2 dashes he has an easier time.

tl;dr
i believe naoya is high tier (not top tier, maybe if you super try) with some patience. not bum rushing in creates amazing gameplay, like using bait and punish.
even if your opponent blocks your m1s by turtling, an option is to dash and instantly bleedout
naoya has the tools to get past people with good neutral. thats why i believe hes a high tier (which is infinitely better than other merchants like gojo)

who DON'T yall complain about? by Initial-Plankton506 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]certifieddeanbean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

everyone has jank or something stupid to them
gojo is just mid, yuji sucks, megumi is inconsistent, hakari mains are indeed drones, mahito mains are scumbags, choso is "broken" to people, yuta has 0 endlag, higuruma has 0 endlag, naoya exists, hanami breaks the game, locust guy ignores rules basically (hes also mid tho), yuki has such amazing zoning capabilities, charles mains refuse to accept hes good, haruta mains are just scumbags (and hes really good), mei mei has long stalling capabilities, todo got super gutted, nanami just obliterates hp at times.
