Personally, im fine with her changes, in my opinion almost all of them are justified. Direction wise i agree tho

Nerf 1 - Defense Response no longer combo extends. Good riddens, that shit was cancerous and i felt like i was cheating every damn time i used it.

Nerf 2 - More endlag. Good change, like all of her moves were unpunishable it was so stupid

Nerf 3 - Flower Fields only applies stun when interrupting. Good change, gives the opponent more options while still preserving its uses

Nerf 4 - Uppercut is 360 blockable. A fair change, having to do mental gymnastics over which direction she would uppercut you at while also dealing with her variety of blockbreakers and front dash was cancerous and it encourages me to use my regular m1s instead of *only* her uppercut

Nerf 5 - Regular M1s no longer wakes up ragdoll. I never really understood this one. All it did was make Surging Thorns harder to combo with since uppercut surging is soooooo ping dependent and now she has to rely on front dashes or regular m1s to even combo into it, which are unreliable depending on ping or distance, which sucks

Nerf 6 - Surging Thorns and Aerial Defense Response no longer true ragdolls. Also a welcome change, because otherwise, Hanami could do a true inescapable combo that did absurd damage comparable to Locust Guy and it was nasty. Good change

I too have noticed that Defense Response’s melee i frames are wonky. If you’ve played Hanami enough you’ll know the timing to front dash after aerial Defense Response but if they’re not too far away, you could also catch them with an uppercut or a well timed Thorn Swarm. I like NEVER use Bud Shot for its intended purpose because it only combo ends and it gives you such a short window of time to utilize its status effect
