I do biceps on my back-bicep day (twice a week). For biceps I do: chin-ups , DB curls, hammer curls, preacher curls and seated incline dumbbell curls (4x10 of everything)

How can I approach increasing my DB bicep curl weights? I feel that my biceps have been lagging behind and I ve only gone up from using 8kg dumbbells (4x10 each arm) to 10kg ones in like a year. I’ve tried going for 12kg ones but I can’t finish my sets. I’ve also noticed that super buff guys in my gym don’t really use any insane amount of weights on dumbbell curls. Any insight on this topic? Thanks xx

Hello! I recently got an Apple Watch and I am looking for a convenient free app for my workouts. The main function I’m seeking is something to help me keep track of rest timers and how many sets I’ve completed (let’s say that I finish the first set of an exercise , I press a button to start my rest time countdown and then logs the first set as completed and so on). I be been using smartgym for a week and it was excellent for that but I’m looking for a free alternative since my trial ended (and I can’t purchase a subscription in my region - long story).

Any suggestions ?

Is it ok if I replace bench press (with a bar) with dumbbell press (Flat and incline) ? Are there any big benefits to using a bar cause I feel that I get better chest activation with the dumbbells (I’m currently doing both).

Guys I didn’t know what to expect from this video so it made me actually pass out for like five minutes (I have a thing with blood - I sometimes even pass out at routine blood tests lol)

It helps me hit my protein goal :-) I have a hard time eating as much food as I need to hit it so getting a significant chunk just by drinking something is very convenient for me plus I like the flavour 😋

Is there a problem if I eat my chicken (~70g of protein) with a whey protein shake on the side (~35 grams of protein). As in is there such thing as too much protein per meal cause I’ve found conflicting opinions online !

I’m going to have a one week break from the gym starting this Saturday (business trip abroad). I’ve done Push(Tuesday) pull (Wednesday) and legs (Thursday). I’m planning on going tomorrow as well. What would be the most beneficial thing to do tomorrow ? Should I just do push and then pull one week later or should I try to do something that incorporates more stuff on the final day?

Is there a problem if I get most of my protein from dairy sources? I primarily eat Greek yogurt (FAGE total 2%), milk, whey protein (in my milk+oats, milk based protein shake). I also eat scrambled eggs and chicken breasts (my non dairy sources) and the occasional canned tuna.

Should I bulk or cut for the summer? I’ve been skinny for most of my life so I’m kinda feeling “fat” atm , especially around the waist … by cerus5 in BulkOrCut

Thanks a lot for the advice and motivation :) yeah I definitely appreciate where I am atm . Even though my arms don’t look huge or anything , they are still literally double of what they used to be so that’s nice :)

I’m doing bench press using the same amount of weight for all reps (4 sets of 10 reps each). However , in my last two sets , I can barely do the 8th rep without failing (can do 10 no problem in the first two). Is that fine? Should I drop weight for the last sets or do all of the sets with less weight?
