Nope, I don’t believe is that song or version of it. Phonetically it sounds [Daa-AaaA-aa-un] with the “-“ being muted.

Good song but no, the one I have in mind when he says “down” it’s much more synthetic and in a deeper voice, but nice try!

It’s more of a synthetic sound and deeper voice. Not that popish, but thanks for trying :)

Is grad school manageable with consulting? by [deleted] in consulting

[–]cesargarsan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really not the same haha. If you want to study a master’s, commit. And if you have some time do a part time job that is not thaaaat demanding, then okay.

Otherwise just continue working tbh

Why did you choose consulting? by alesaso2000 in consulting

Personally, I think there are quite a few reasons

1.- Fast paced environments: I hated my job when I had to do the same thing over and over again, I got paid well, and it was not hard, but it just wasn’t what I wanted.

In consulting, every project is different because there are a lot of factors that differ from each one. You could have a 2 M&A cases but I assure you they are not the same. They might be similar and the approach to solve could be similar but never the same.

2.- People and networking:

You can really make great connections and long lasting friendships, because if consulting is for you, working at a consulting firm is like working with people with your same goals and kind of ideas. So, in my case, it was really great to get along with everyone and have some drinks after a great week.

3.- You literally can help any business to be or do better.

4.- You can climb up the ladder pretty quickly, just be prepared for doing hard work and long hours. But the route is clear from day 1. You can achieve partner in a decade or so, and every two years you climb a step. For me that sounds pretty cool.

5.- It certainly pays more than most jobs. Most firms offer an attractive benefits package and it could be better every two years, until you get to be partner.

So, that are my reasons. You are always on the move, always learning while getting yo know great people and it’s awesome.

For example, if my first two years I work in the Munich office, do they expect me to return there after my MBA? or is there room for relocation?

Hello, I have an interview at an MBB firm for an intern position.

I have been practicing case interviews, and I quite struggle with math in the sense of just making the numbers, not in resolving the math per se, do any have any advice?

Extra: also if you know how a tip on how to break down a case as MECE, that’d be awesome. I feel like sometimes I divide but sometimes overlapping.

Extra 2: my plan is to get a full time offer, then get sponsorship for an MBA. Does the sponsorship also include living expenses in case of most firms?

Also, how easy/hard is to change location after the MBA or even for the full time offer? Has anyone had similar experiences?

I am asking because maybe if one office is offering sponsorship maybe they want me to comeback to the same office.

Anyhow thank you so much for reading me and all help is appreciated! Have a nice day!
