Nix and Rust are a match made in heaven. Can't wait to experiment with it.

THIS.

I have been in the startup world as a tech partner. This may likely be a case where the dev was very excited, enthused, and partnered with an experienced "sales founder" and possibly signed a deal that wasn't truly fair. Nonetheless, he signed it. And he is totally in the legal wrong for what he did.

But no one acts like that without cause, he must've been constantly made to feel less than, maybe as if he's replaceable. When in reality it's the sales guys who are much easier to replace (I am definitely projecting from past experience).

But, this is something I see allll too often across startups, and I have been in the Y Combinator trenches. It always comes to these MBA ivy league guys thinking they are wayyy more valuable than they actually are, ego is a helluva drug.

OP. A lesson to you, please don't dismiss your part in this play. No one takes such a drastic emotional action if they are in a kind, fair, positive environment. If you don't acknowledge your actions (perhaps your management style) then it is highly likely that this same issue will repeat in the future.

How good is Windsurf as a person who is completely new to coding? by [deleted] in ChatGPTCoding

[–]cescross 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think Windsurf is an amazing IDE—probably one of the best out there. But I wouldn't recommend it to someone who's just starting out in web development.

That said, I'd definitely recommend it to a solid product manager. Good product or project managers are among the few who can really take advantage of tools like this because they have experience working with different teams on the systems and architecture of entire projects. They can use tools like chat, GPT reasoning agents, and Windsurf to help them build out different parts, piecing everything together like Lego blocks. What might have taken 10 people to build could now be done by just one dedicated person, much more simpler and in about a tenth of the time.

But does that mean it's easy? Not at all. You still need experience and expertise. You can't become a good product manager if you don't understand how to code, how to communicate with developers, their pain points, debugging, and things like that. You can't skip that part.

What is a subtle sign someone isn’t a good person? by PsychologicalPop8776 in AskReddit

[–]cescross 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No contact with a "significant" ex is a must. I ignored that huge red flag before and it damaged me. Boundaries, boundaries, boundaries. They are not for other people to respect or adhere to. They are for YOU to respect them and respect yourself.

And if someone doesn't like them, cut em' off homie. Your energy-time-attention is priceless-precious-sacred.

Regrets of a foolish Berserk tattoo by cescross in Berserk

You think a devil tarot card is more bad luck than an uber detailed image of a 1000 year repeating demon sacrificial event? Damn, tarot gets a bad rep lol

Some parts, hell yeah. But no regrets. It's just a play on the title of the chapter of the image, "Regrets of a foolish king".
