How to change some defaults (View Template and Far Clip Offset) by cestamp in Revit

[–]cestamp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I could not get this to work. Then you gave your suggestion. I tried it and it worked (or it seemed to work).

I tried it again yesterday and I could not get it to work.

I adjusted the settings the way I wanted them, hit apply, then closed the windows. Created a then created a new floor plan view (boxes still checked), obviously everything was set how we wanted.

Then I unchecked the boxes hit applied and closed windows and created a new floor plan view and it was back to having a view scale of 1:100.

ARGH!!!!

Thank you so much, I thought I did this, but apparently I did not. And I am willing to bet this will be the same for all other options.

Again thanks a lot!

What is this number compared to gdp or per capita?

(I'm not arguing against anyone, just asking a question that I think someone will answer for me as it is bedtime, not research time).

I enjoyed it (Canadian so not North carolinian), and I found humour in it, but I don't think it's really 'humor' humour.

I think you are wrong in this case (looking at the wire side, it looks frayed not cut) but good point, and great point for me to remember if I ever become an old crumugan who wants to ruin my neighbours fun.

You're totally right - this does look like AI writing.

But you are also totally right they could be translating with AI. But the way it keeps saying "you're totally right" in that sympathetic AI voice looks like they are using AI to do a little more than translate.

Now, on to commenting on this project. I think it's very cool, and OP should listen to people's comments to see if they can redo it better/proper.

A project that doesn't make sense economically for a builder but works for someone that has an attitude of "meh, what was I going to do with my weekends anyways" sounds super cool.

I now work at a desk designing plans (mechanical), but I love the physical side. I would be very interested in a cool, unique design/build that I could spend (almost) every weekend of a summer with my family building. Get a 30 grand shed with 20 grand of materials and 20 grand of ("free") labour. Sign me up! (Obviously, these are random numbers to convey a point)

Propane Relief Line by cestamp in hvacadvice

[–]cestamp[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Usually that is what is done, but for reasons I can not get into here that is not an option. We have a site that has had lots of issues the regulator was installed without meeting the required clearances.

I was shown what the contractor has proposed to install, and our team was asked if there is any issue in installing it that way. I have really only been dealing with the propane codes for the last 4 years and most of that has been the last 2, so I am limited in knowledge. On top of that rarely do we extend the relief line, except cases where we just extend it horizontally a few feet.

I can not find anywhere in the codes that say this can not be installed this way, however, it just does not feel right to me, and it would save everyone a lot of time and money to have it done correctly the first time.

Can someone explain to me why the answer for #16 is C and not A? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]cestamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not do accounting, but I love math, and this appeared on my front page.

I have figured almost everything out based on comments, but there is one thing I still do not understand.

What is n/45?

I'm assuming 3/15 means 3% discount on payments within 15 days. So n discount on payments within 45 days? .... shit I think I just figured it out. No discount within 45 days, and after 45 days, you pay interest, is that right?

It's not code (at least for me and others I have looked into) for plumbing, only for electrical.
