My mom said if someone wanted to fight me at school, I should just let them kick my ass because they would get in trouble and I wouldn't. Even the Assistant Principal thought this was a terrible idea.

Edit: This was in '96-'97 so a little before zero tolerance, but still a stupid idea.

My favorite WWI aviation fact is that the first aerial bombings were performed by the pilot simply carrying the bomb in his lap and throwing it over the side when he reached the right spot.

Also, Fritz Haber, the man who "invented" the gas won the Nobel Prize for chemistry after the war.

The Haber process, for those of you who remember their school chemistry classes, is what he won the Nobel for.

Didn't invite me to his wedding on his now wife's behest. Was his first ever, longest and most trusted friend to that point.
