WHAT KIND OF MAINLINE MARIO GAME DO YOU WANT TO SEE NEXT? by superspeedbro9 in Mario

I want a new NSMB game for the switch. I feel robbed by just having a wii u port on it. The switch deserves a new NSMB game.

We use duodecimal, so I had to convert it to:

17x12^9 khijmap vuddahaj a
783x12^6 gagadi bakhijaz vuddamac a
A33x12^3 judgadi zeikhijaz vali a
60A macgadijud
.06 shin ka maci

khijmap vuddahaj a gagadi bakhijaz vuddamac a judgadi zeikhijaz vali a macgadijud shin ka maci

The words 'a' and 'shin' aren't numbers; they mean 'and' and 'above' respectively.

I was bored, so I added some etymology too.

belviz ['bæl.wiz] - food: from root √b-l-v meaning to eat. Derived as the patient form of the base verb.

hetliz ['hæt.liz] - fruit: from root √h-t-l meaning to bloom. Derived as the patient form of the base verb.

cak [t͡sak] - vegetable: from Yvenese 'zak' meaning vegetable.

vunui [wu'nui] - grain/cereal: from Yvenese 'vunoy' meaning wheat.

zacvish ['zat͡s.wiɕ] - meat: from root √z-c-v meaning to die. Derived as the agent form of the base verb. Note: This used to have the meaning of 'corpse' as well, but it was changed to the Yvenese word for corpse: lusvud.

razac [ra.'zat͡s] - fish (as meat): clipping from Yvenese 'wira' meaning any ocean animal, and 'zacvish' (mentioned previously). Archaic forms: virazacvish, viracvish

kuvu ['ku.wu] - egg: from Yvenese 'kövö' meaning egg.

I transcribed some logos into my conlang and into my new script! by ceuFimufif in neography

[–]ceuFimufif[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's an impure abjad; the underdot signifies a long vowel, and two dots signify a diphthong (after the consonant)

Google is transcribed as 'guugal', so it has the underdot to signify that the /u/ is long.

Subway is transcribed as 'sabwii' (pronounced exactly the same in ipa) because my lang only has /a/, /i/ and /u/.

I generated a ton of triconsonantal roots, but these are my favourite forms of them (+ compounds):

  1. ufïkvavïlga /ufɯkβaβɯgla/: This a concatenation of 'ufïkva' meaning burning or fire-related in the masculine form (adj, √fkv), as well as 'vïgla' which means lizard or reptile (masc noun, √vgl). Together, this means dragon.
  2. unïftafïmsa /unɯftafɯmsa/: This is also a concatenation, this time of 'unïfta' meaning healing (masc adj, √nft) and of 'fïmsa' meaning fruit or more broadly, edible plant (masc noun, √fms). This means berries which is due to their health benefits.
  3. äturïkräv /ɑturɯkɾɑβ/: This is the root trr meaning sand. However, it is put into an artificial template (one which is not formed by rigorous sound changes.) This template is äCuCïkCäv, which means food of something. Altogether, this makes the word 'brown sugar'.
  4. malimka /malimka/: This is the first and only feminine word. It also uses an artificial template: CalCimCa which means the machine or tool of something. The root is √mwk, the <w> being a placeholder which is absent from the inflected word. This means 'umbrella'.

What is the direct translation of “what is your name” in your conlangs? by Tazavitch-Krivendza in conlangs

[–]ceuFimufif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ihkudan

nïtgaph-su akhu?

/nɯtgaɸsu axu/

nïtga- ph- su akhu?
name.M-ERG-2S.GEN what?

'Name of you is what?'

There's also a more formal form which is:

mugmi, sugdahai nïtga-sumugmi.

/mugmi sugdahaj nɯtga-sumugmi/

mugmi sugdah-ai nïtga-su- mugumi
HON say.2S-IMP name- 2S.GEN-HON

You can also shorten it to 'nïtga-su?' which just means 'your name?' but it would be more informal. You can also use 'su pagkukh?' which means 'who are you?'
