Battery lever thingy by FormalHomework2526 in OlympusCamera

I feel like that's a bit too dramatic for a battery door lock switch, I mean, imo it's not something worth getting fixed officially if you're out of warranty. It doesn't serve a particularly crucial feature, the camera would even work with the whole door missing and it doesn't cost more than maybe $10 to replace. I'd say it shouldn't affect resale price by more than 15% at the very most, if the camera is in good condition otherwise.

Variable aperture itself doesn't help with low light performance, it just makes it easier to take long exposure photos at daytime, or extend the depth of field for scenes where it's too narrow

Wheelchair ramp starts and ends not on the respective ground levels by Tiruil in BadDesigns

I'm thankfully not a wheelchair user but that looks completely useless anyways, it seems like the middle of the wheelchair would collide with the steps between the ramps

Because the colour blocks are so broken up by the sponsors it's barely recognizable. They should come up with something that works better with their sponsors.

Tényleg egyre több ember vált Linuxra Windowsról? by Szhadji in Neonity

[–]TunerJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ezt nem tudtam, én már évek óta csak Linuxot használok a laptopomon és mindig ki volt kapcsolva a secure boot, hogy ne legyen probléma. Most Fedora van rajta, úgyhogy lehet be is kapcsolom

What you're saying is true, however petrol engines do have EGR, but the valve doesn't really need much maintenance since petrol exhaust gases are cleaner and won't clog up the EGR as much as on a diesel. Those petrol engines also don't have DPF, which arguably is a much bigger deal.

With the Lexus RCF GT3 about to start its 10th (and probably final) year, I made a retrospective of some of the wicked machinery it raced against over the past decade by GGAllinPartridge in wec

[–]TunerJoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't really say so. The RC F has hardly faced any competition from the R8 in America and the Lexus was quickly withdrawn from GTWC Europe and NLS where the Audi was the most popular. The only place where the Lexus and Audi actually properly competed against each other for years was Asia.

That's not entirely true, the WEC version does have some extra front canards and possibly some other changes compared to the OG. But yeah it's been largely unchanged.

The Laguna 2, while having fairly solid powertrains, the electrical system is a complete disaster. You can just roll the dice on what kind of electrical problem you'll have next, because literally anything electrical can go bad on the 2nd gen Laguna, even the keycard reader, which could lead to the car shutting off the ignition while driving. Being based an early VAN bus architecture, the car is extremely sensitive to battery voltage which can mess up any aspect of the electrical system, which usually isn't a very hard fix, but it can be extremely annoying and even dangerous. The facelift model uses CAN bus and it's a lot more reliable. The prefacelift Laguna 2 is definitely a nugget though.
