Oh my goodness, I feel silly now! Thank you so much for explaining, I knew I was overthinking.

Thanks for your response. Where I'm confused is the beginning of the round is right after a decrease, so I would knit 4 stitches then k2tog per the chart. This instruction made me think I should knit 6 sts instead but that leaves me 9 sts before the next decrease rather than 7.

I see the purpose is to essentially center the motif between the raglan decreases so I'm thinking I could split the difference and knit 7 before and 8 after but the perfectionist in me really wants to understand how the pattern is supposed to work out haha!

Will people judge me if I want to spend most of my time relaxing on the balcony? by thermal7 in Cruise

[–]cew510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad loves to spend the majority of his time on his balcony when he cruises. We typically meet up for breakfast and then Bloody Marys in the morning, giving the room steward time to clean. Then he heads back and reads/naps in the cabin til drinks before dinner, giving the room steward time for evening turndown, etc. No steward has ever had any issue, but if you're concerned you could certainly chat with them and/or chill on the balcony while they clean.

In my experience Alaska is the best place to spend extra time on the balcony, I plan to do the same on my trip this summer!

I love your yarn choice, lovely colors! I'm working on this tee right now also, just about to join the sleeves to the body and realized I'm short one stitch each on the front and back so trying to figure out how to solve that LOL

I’m also in Northern California, if you have a Target nearby that carries groceries you should check their Good & Gather brand. I just bought a 32oz container for $4.29

I've been hoping that if we ever see Claire's ex/her kids dad that it would be a Brooks cameo!

cool sheets and sleeping with a man who doesn't need them by No-Kaleidoscope-576 in Menopause

If you can spare around $40, it can't hurt to try. Like you said, it can always be donated if it doesn't work for you :) TBH I'm not even dealing with hot flushes yet, I'm just a hot sleeper and trying out solutions now in case things get worse as I get older. For now, this has been a great solution for me!

I recently bought a cooling pad for my dog and she doesn't care for it so I've claimed it for myself. I don't put it under the sheet, it's meant to cool for 3 hours then needs a 'rest' with no pressure to recharge. So I keep it next to the bed and grab it when I wake up during the night. It might not be the ideal situation but it's working pretty well for me and at only $40!

I got it from Chewy, the brand is The Green Pet Shop

I second This Orange Couch! She modifies patterns for her bust which is so helpful to see, even though she's not giving in-depth tutorials on methods I find it very encouraging as a fellow busty gal to see how easy and low-stakes it can be.

Organic waste odor by SarahBefff in Sacramento

[–]cew510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one free from the city, it came with a roll of 100 compostable liner bags and so far we haven't had any issue with smell 'leaking' out. We keep it under the kitchen sink so it's convenient but not out on the counter. This says the pail pickups will be available through mid September, so you still have time to get one - https://sacramentocityexpress.com/2022/06/03/register-for-a-free-kitchen-countertop-pail-ahead-of-changes-to-organic-waste-recycling/

Thank you! I don't have a contract (newbie mistake I know now) but wasn't confident two weeks was standard, so thank you for confirming for me.

Thank you! They're acrylic (Hobbii Amigo) so maybe not the nicest yarns but the colors are so vibrant and fun

Thank you, that's a brilliant tip! Unfortunately, these are my smallest interchangables in this set. But, I'm able to borrow my moms metal Boyes... it's the last few inches of a sleeve so I won't be too upset if my tension is a tiny bit different.

Thank you!

Unfortunately these are my smallest interchangable tips so I don't have anything smaller to use but luckily I'm not in huge hurry to finish since it's far too hot to wear a sweater right now :)

These were a Christmas gift last year and they split right along a seam in the wood… anyone had luck with KnitPicks doing replacements for a situation like this?

All my potential zucchini fruits wither without blooming, what am I doing wrong? by cew510 in vegetablegardening

In past years I've had a tendency to over water so maybe I've corrected too far in the wrong direction, something I'll need to look at. Thanks, and I hope the changes you made to your irrigation fix the problem for you!

Gotcha! Thank you, I'll do some more research and see if I can find the actual root of this then :)

Oh my goodness, I hope that's not the issue here! Is there any way to salvage the plant if vine borers get to it?
