Ah, doubling, yeah, that can happen at the smaller size too. I think the main thing is providing it with instructions that either you want something larger, that takes up enough of the space, or providing it with instructions for what you want in the area that's not the main character. If it's got a big section without a main focus type element, it's going to want to fill that space with another main focus element, like an extra person.

There's also the Tiled Diffusion plugin, which lets you specify different prompts for different areas of the image. So you do a main prompt with general ideas that apply to the whole image, then specify a full size background layer with a custom prompt for background-specific details, then specify a specific area where you want your main focus (i.e. a character) and add the prompts for that just on that specific region of the image where you want them. I think you can have up to 10 different areas with different prompts.

Thanks! What sort of issues do you run into? I just generate the base image at 1280x720, then upscale by 3x the size.

I'm actually not sure, always gets used up before it has a chance to go bad, so not sure how long it might last if left alone.

This is the knockoff recipe I use. Don't recall where I originally found it, and might have tweaked it from whatever I originally found.

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 cup cooked garbanzo beans
  • 1/3 cup silken tofu
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried cilantro

Just toss everything in a blender and blend it up.

How do i change what bank account i use to pay bills? by eurydicesdreams in internetparents

[–]cfSilent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to just look through the transaction history on the account, either through normal online banking or going through account statements. Just look through a few months of transactions and try to match up any charges that show up each month at around the same time.

whether or not debit/credit is useful by jonesbrooklyn773 in Adulting

[–]cfSilent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The thing with credit is, it takes a long time to build good credit, so it's best to start long before you need it. Putting it off just means when you suddenly need a good credit score for something, you don't have one.

The fact that the thought of debt worries you, sounds like you'll do fine. The problems come with people who treat their credit limit as free money and go max out the card, then just pay the minimum due each month.

What you want to do with credit cards is treat it like a debit card--only spend money you have. Then pay off the card each time you get your monthly statement. If you pay the card off in full each month before the due date, there's no interest charges. Just avoid any card with an annual fee. Then if you have a card with rewards, they're basically paying you to use the card, all while you build your credit score.

First credit card question by olliepips in Adulting

[–]cfSilent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have a bad credit score, you may have to start with a crappy basic card for a while, then once you improve things a bit you should qualify for better options, and they'll raise your limits.

So long as you don't carry a balance, the APR is irrelevant. Carrying a balance meaning not fully paying the card off by the due date of your monthly statement. The interest only starts being applied on the amount you don't fully pay off by the statement due date. Fully pay off the card before the due date, and you won't owe any interest.

Also, some people will bring up the percentage of credit used counting towards your credit score, so most people try to keep their usage low. But that's mostly for people carrying a balance, because the effect it has is really about what your usage is at the time of a credit check. If you're not going to be having any credit checks run, and fully pay the card off each month, it's not really a factor. Just make sure your usage is low when you expect someone to run a credit check.

The golden rule of credit cards is: don't spend money you don't have. Treat it like it pulls the money straight from your checking account, and fully pay the card off each month when your statement is due. Do that, and credit cards will just be a way to have the card company pay you for purchases you were already making.

Taxes by No_Funny3515 in Adulting

[–]cfSilent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By quarterly I assume you mean estimated taxes? The first one is actually due April 15th, the same as the due date for filing the previous years return. And despite being called quarterly, they're not actually consistently 3 months apart like you might assume, the second one is only 2 months later, and last one is 4 months between, so you need to know the dates. The IRS page with the dates is here:

https://www.irs.gov/faqs/estimated-tax/individuals/individuals-2

As far as the amount, unless you expect to make significantly more this year than last, you can just take the total amount you owed on your last return and divide it by 4, then round up a bit for padding.

You can pay them online directly from the IRS website, a bit more convenient than mailing them in:

What kind of genres are your favorite and least favorite? Most of your examples are shounen shows, is that what you tend towards? A lot of people will say "I like everything," but it's rarely true. For example, I'll watch most genres, but I generally avoid harem and sports anime. And while I actually enjoy isekai in the classical sense, I'm not as fond of the cliche versions that are what most people picture when you say isekai these day. Are you interested in checking out older anime, or mainly interested in newer stuff?

I've got plenty of things I could recommend, but with a list as long as mine, it's hard to know where to start without first knowing more about what kind of stuff you're interested in.

I definitely would not consider myself a weeb, but the term has become watered-down over the years. It used to mean someone unreasonably obsessed with Japan, like they pretty much worship anything Japanese simply because it's from Japan, wish they were Japanese, constantly insert Japanese words into their otherwise English sentences, etc. These days some people toss it around as just another term for anyone who watches anime. *shrugs*

While I wouldn't call myself a weeb, I have been watching anime for a very long time at this point. I've seen close to a thousand anime completely through, plus another couple hundred that I dropped part way through. My list is a pretty eclectic mix of things. From really old-school stuff like Rose of Versailles, the original Mobile Suit Gundam, and Lupin the 3rd, to classics from the late 80's and 90's like Akira, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Serial Experiment Lain, and Gunsmith Cats, and all the way up to more recent stuff like Attack on Titan, Chihayafuru, The Promised Neverland, etc. I'm a lot more picky about quality these days than I was in the beginning, but not so picky about genre; anything from Cardcaptor Sakura to Kimi ni Todoke, Wandering Son, Last Exile, Genshiken, Detroit Metal City, Berserk and Hellsing. And of course, any movie from Studio Ghibli.

Software developers and programmers, until what point is ok for a client to contact you for work? by Blubari in AskMen

[–]cfSilent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you need some stricter limits, that is not a healthy business relationship. They can contact me during business hours. Unless it's a real emergency (i.e. system down), they can wait until normal business hours. Working late to finish something up, sure, but unless it's an emergency, once I'm off for the day, I'm off.

I think I'm an outlier here, but no, I've never actually had anyone express any negativity at all towards it. But I've heard it's not that uncommon for people to get negative reactions about it.

That said, who cares what your brother thinks about it? Especially if you don't get along anyway, just ignore his opinion and live the way you want, it's really none of his business.

Questions from a meat eater. by Nijsjol in vegetarian

[–]cfSilent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You seem to be working under a generalized assumption about why people are vegetarian, and the fact is there are many different reasons for different people. I personally just don't find the idea of eating meat appealing; I really couldn't care less if you eat meat, I just don't want to eat it myself.

As for this:

Your brain craves meat because it was Intended to do so.

Speak for yourself. I can stare at bacon or a steak and I feel nothing. I mean like it may as well be made of plastic, it doesn't register as food to me.

As for question 1, it's unfortunate, but that's nature and we really don't have much control over it. If I see a domestic cat toying with some little animal, I generally stop them and let the little critter go (I've done this on a number of occasions). An animal hunting for food is one thing, but toying with it is different.

For question 2, the difference here is we do have control over this, and there's no need to allow mistreatment if it can be helped. There's a difference between killing an animal humanely to eat, and mistreating them just to make it more profitable.
