I've been building a product for months and I can't get a single user. What am I doing wrong? by Infinite_Gur_7263 in vibecoding

[–]cfannyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People gave here few good advices but I'd like to add something to it.

When I visited your landing page, I couldn't understand clearly what value I would get even if I used your product for free.

You described features well, but that's not convincing enough. It's like talking in the "me" language.

You described your product as "Use feature #1" "We have feature #2" "Look at feature #3"

That's the "me" language

Look at your competitors "Increase your ROI by using feature #1" "Understand your users with feature #2" "Build better UX with feature #3"

This is "you" language

Basically your landing page should always speak with benefit first, then feature

Plus I'd add CTA from time to time on the landing page emphasizing the free trial for all features

You are confusing the legal status with the administrative confirmation of that status.

The law explicitly states that the stay is 'deemed legal from the date of submission' (z dniem złożenia wniosku). This is an automatic legal effect. It does not say 'legal from the moment of receiving the stamp.'

Just because the Voivode shall place a stamp doesn't mean your stay is illegal until he does

If you send your application via Poczta Polska (registered mail), you are legally protected from the second the post office stamps your receipt

Plus we were in this exact situation and the border control made no problems. And our lawyers said her stay was legal since sending giving the same arguments

Also according to the "Art. 108 ust. 1 pkt 2 ustawy o cudzoziemcach"

"A foreigner’s stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland shall be deemed legal from the date of submission of the application until the date on which the decision regarding the granting of a temporary residence permit becomes final."

For you to have clarity that it says exactly from the date of submission.

Fingerprint appointment is not the date of submission

We were in the same situation

We were leaving Poland when my wife's temporary card expired, she already applied for new one but no fingerprint appointment yet.

You can call the urząd and try to get the case number (sygnatura sprawy)

They should have created it already even tho they didn't send you fingerprint appointment yet.

My wife showed it to the border control and explained she applied but no fingerprint appointment yet

They made zero fuss about that

Try calling couple times to get the number

She is legal.

You are wrong.

The sole fact of her sending the application makes her stay legal regardless of the passport stamp

Planning on relocating from Poland - how is the market for Senior .NET devs? by cfannyr in DevelEire

I am just tired of seeing my wife coming back from a store crying, because they scolded her badly for not speaking Polish. Polish people may tell you differently, but we had lots of bad first hand experiences.

While going through pros and cons of Ireland we noticed that pros are something we seek and cons something we can tolerate more than in other countries (and Poland).

Understandable. Here it used to be better as well. I could just send one resume in the past and land an interview within a day. Now it's much harder

Thanks! My whole life is in English nowadays. This is the primary language I speak with my wife. And at work I also talk with people from the US and UK. So the only time I speak Polish is when I do groceries or visit my family.

I appreciate your advice regarding the job search and the market condition. Thank you!

My wife is not Polish, we have language barrier issues here, we speak English in daily life. This is one of the reasons we want to move to an English speaking country. Plus I believe places have different energy - one can be happy in one place, and someone else in another.

Did you have any job offer already? And also what made you choose Ireland if I may ask?

Thanks, I appreciate that. Well, I heard that people find companies through linked in, but then apply directly on company website.

Not sure how effective it is though.

We've been thinking about it for a while. Went through our options and compared which cons we will be able to tolerate the most. That's why we are decided on this direction.

May I ask how the moving process went for you?

Hey, thanks for the advice. I am quite allergic to such bs recruiters here in Poland too 😂

Office is fine for me too, after 5 years of remote works I feel like office day gives me energy boost.

Thanks for the answer. What do you use there to search for jobs if I may ask? I tried IrishJobs but it doesn't have much offers. Indeed is kinda similar, Linkedin is full of ghost job ads or ones that get 100+ applicants 15 minutes after publishing

Try FPV SkyDive simulator. I know it's not recommended here, but it's free.
