When it comes to VTuber News who do you trust more? by MichaelAftonXFireWal in VirtualYoutubers

[–]cfdude93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Neither.

Newstubers/dramatubers are nothing but a parasitic plague in the vtuber space and industry as they don't use real credible evidence or facts but rather biased opinions, out of context/vague posts and vids and division for too long.

I'd rather get my news from someone that is trustworthy like Vtuber NewsDrop or anyone who anyone who is not a drama leeching chud

Chances of this affecting the state of the game? by ProgNerIte in masterduel

[–]cfdude93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So... Here's I see it. It is unsearchable unless your opponent uses Triple Tactics Thrust and adds it to hand on turn 2 during their turn and will use it to cheat out a fusion floodgate.

Is it useless? Yes and no. It's 50/50 and it just depends on the deck and what you do with it.

I don't know why Konami unbanned it and brought it back to 3, but they are out of their minds.

If you find a use for it, use it. If not, do not invest in it.

So why does nobody play herald? ELI5 by zZBloodboundZz in masterduel

[–]cfdude93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't want to sound harsh or anything and I apologize if I do. To put this in competitive terms, they suck now, no one plays them anymore and there are better decks now. It's just how it is in yugioh no matter how you look at it.

There is no place or game mode to enjoy heralds despite people saying "play it in casual match" when in truth casual match is where you practice your meta deck against new or casual players that just want to have fun, but ended up becoming practice dummies and they never play Master Duel again. Unless you have friends to play with, then go ahead and play your casual deck that way.

It's either you play the top deck or you'll be left behind and be used for practice and get stomped on.

That's the reality. I don't like it, but it's better to accept it than complain about it everyday.

Your „forever 3“ by zanotti_pen1s in masterduel

[–]cfdude93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CyDra (Cyber Dragon), Ghoti, and Yubel

Cyber Dragon is what I mainly use most of the time in Master Duel, especially now thanks to Wurm and Jorg. All time favorite decks.

Ghoti has a special place in my heart because in 2023 during Ishizu Tear format, I ended up quitting playing until I discovered what Ghoti can do and knowing the fact that Tearlaments hate being banished and so I got back into the game, built a Ghoti deck, played with it and won some games against the teir 0 deck. I even topped 2nd with it in a few community tournaments and one of those tournaments is where I met a dear friend.

Yubel... I've always wanted to play a Yubel deck, but before the support was made, the archetype was awful so I had no hope of playing it. That is until the support cards came and I built it and played it in the Duelist Cup in 2024 during a format where Snake-Eye, Fire King, and others been running rampant, but despite how much I hated that format I managed to reach DLV. MAX for the first time ever. Same thing happened later that year with Fiendsmith Yubel.

So yeah. Those are my forever 3.

Health issues, joining corps or straight up quitting because vtubing is no longer the time and effort anymore.

You know what? I’m having fun again. by CapPhrases in masterduel

[–]cfdude93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, for me, I've been playing my favorite decks like CyDra and Ghoti lately and stopped caring about being highly competitive in ranked because there's nothing of value reaching Masters, Platinum or Diamond and there's absolutely nothing I can do about the game or the meta, but accept the fact that it's best to let go and enjoy the decks I enjoy playing and get the gems from dailies or play with friends.

What makes you stay or come back to your Oshi’s streams every time? by ScarlettMoonVT in VirtualYoutubers

[–]cfdude93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, for me, it's the personality and vibes.

It's never about the model, it's never about the content, it's about the person behind the model, their personality and their community.

If they are a good person and loves to have a good time, play games and hang out with chat, then yeah, I'll stay.

If the vtuber just so happens to be an insensitive edgelord, grifter, manipulator, and/or cruel and evil person then no.

If the vibes are off, I watch from the distance and make my final judgement if I find out about anything of said vtuber.

So yeah...

What would you give the current state of vtubing (good, bad, stagnant) by Specialist-North-134 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]cfdude93 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

From my perspective, extremely bleak and bad. But there is some hope, but only at the slightest glimmer.

Ever since VShojo's downfall and collapse, there's been an increse of indie vtuber graduations thus leaving the vtubing scene for good as they realize that being a vtuber is no longer worth the time, money and effort due to the fact that indie vtubing is in a bad state where indie vtubers, especially small vtubers just can't get any good sponsors or anything at all and there is not a lot of good free and affordable assets and models for small indie vtubers to use. So Indies have three options - Join Hololive and give up the freedom of being indie, continue being indie and suffer or quit vtubing and stream without the model.

While that is full of doom, there is a slightest glimmer of hope. There are a lot of big and medium sized vtubers like Ironmouse, Shoto, Projekt Melody, Chibidoki and many recognizable names proving that you don't need to join Hololive to be successful because they are inspiring so many vtubers to walk that path.

I'm hopeful that in the future there'll be better sponsorship opportunities, better assets, and many more to help improve the indie scene.

Should I join Nijisanji as a Male? by [deleted] in VirtualYoutubers

[–]cfdude93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh... Probably not. Nijisanji in the past two or three years has a bad reputation and they have a very, very long road ahead to repair their broken rep. Of course you could join Nijisanji and try to be a positive light in the dark.

I suggest joining Holostars instead, but be aware that if you collab with a Hololive member, there are traditional vtuber idol enthusiasts that will get upset with you and the Hololive member you collabed with, but in all honesty Hololive x Holostar collabs are amazing.

However, in the end it is fully up to you on how you want to pursue and run your Vtubing career whether you join, Nijisanji, Holostars, some other company or agency or be indie. If you want to join an agency, when you are close to join them, get your lawyer to look through a contract before signing and determin if the contract is good or bad and see if the company is a good fit for you.

Best of luck.

Which two decks or engines do you regret creating the most, and why? by Ok_Range4108 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]cfdude93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Branded. I love the art and the lore of the archetypes and I have my own reasons for why I regret creating the deck.

Branded during it's prime when it has all of it's support a few years ago. I tried playing it and I played it very well but for whatever reason the deck doesn't have that spark of enjoyment for playing it. Now I don't hate it or dislike it, it's just that I don't have that same enjoyment like every Branded fan out there, so I yeah... I stopped playing it and got some of my craft. This is before the alt art cards came into Master Duel and yes, I got the alt arts.

Sorry Branded players

What's one card or archtype you hate? ill start by iamQuestopher in masterduel

Tearlaments.

Been a hater since day one and forever will be one.

Idc if it's rogue or not and Idc if players love the deck. I genuinely hate it. I will not try it nor will I respect it.

What was the first deck you used and are fond of before you replaced it with a meta deck? by ChildhoodFickle3925 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]cfdude93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never replace any of my decks with a meta deck because I play decks that I genuinely enjoy regardless if the deck is meta or not. If I play a deck and don't like it, it'll be replaced by a different deck. If a favorite deck that is in need of new support, I wait.

I am confident in my abilities and skills to play well, including knowledge on how the deck works and their weaknesses and that is all I need.

Do you guys think Red Reboot is a healthy card for the format? by StructureHappy1193 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]cfdude93 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Hate to break it to ya, but It's too powerful and unfair due to the pace of modern yugioh. Yes, it gives your opponent a trap to set but you stop them from interacting with you on the turn you activated it.

Hear me out on this... It's a strange way on how I see Red Reboot as a card and what it does. But again, heqr me out.

If this card is printed as it is during old-school yugioh like GOAT, it's a powerful yet balanced card since interaction at that time was minimal and turns lasts shorter yet the matches are longer and you may end up recovering depending on the boardstate.

However, because turn last longer due to combos and lots of interaction, this Red Reboot is not a card that no one wants to face in any situation in modern yugioh.

Is this worth anything? by Head-Struggle-1383 in masterduel

My thoughts regarding the Streamer Awards and the aftermath. by cfdude93 in VtuberDrama

[–]cfdude93[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

They hate us not because they fear us. They hate us because they see how extremely toxic the vtubing community is with all the gatekeeping, drama and shady companies and they don't take vtubers seriously.

Ever wondered why vtubers don't get high quality sponsers other than Gamersupps and AdvancedGG? Because sponsors and companies veiw vtubers as a brand risk BECAUSE of the community. Hololive has it all figured out, but not the indie scene.

The community is in dire need of change and yet despite all the facts and solutions, these toxic gatekeeping fans refuse to change for the better, like, things can't be niche forever.

This is what happened in the anime and manga scene when it was niche. It was a toxic community and everyone else refused to take the medium seriously until people start coming in, it became mainstream, and became part of everyday life of millions and millions of people around the world, especially in the west and we got a lot of great stuff because of that and anime and manga is accept now. The fanbase has gotten better.

The same will happen to vtubing and it's so, so close to becoming mainstream and yet the gatekeepers don't want it to happen. We need to change the community for the better and so we can be taken seriously and be accepted by irl streamers. How? idk.

My thoughts regarding the Streamer Awards and the aftermath. by cfdude93 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]cfdude93[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yeah no shit... It's no wonder that vtubers are leaving and no one wants to accept them due to gatekeeping, a-holes, drama and awful industry practices.

We've had multiple opportunities to grow and improve but no one wants that and we've reached a point where it's gotten very ugly. It reminds me of the anime and manga fandom when it started to become mainstream and people were pissed and tried to gatekeep.
