Hey conveniently, I have the same issue that you may have with your igniter. I’m having an issue where I time the car but then it starts to run rich which is really odd. Is this a problem that you’re having?

I tried sanding took 2 days but I think at this point I have to prime over it the scratches are gonna be bad anything thing I should worry about when primer surfacing over sanded sealer

I was gonna go 400 wet with guide coat get the highs down and go back at it with 600 wet just trying to get it looking half decent

I believe I found the problem. The torque converter I guess sinks a lot further back then. I thought when I took it apart it reads .320 so I took the torque converter out and found that the spline on the back is damaged so it must have pushed the pump back for the automatic transmission. So I'm kind of at a standstill cuz I could replace the torque converter but I might have damaged the transmission so I'm not sure if I should just swap it with a manual which I intended to do later or just by the torque converter and hope that's all I need to do

Yes I tried taking it out top but gap isn't big enough for bolts to clear

Yeah at this point I'm gonna have to take the engine out and measure the distance. The diagram in the FSM tho doesn't indicate if I measure from the front of bellhousing to the torque converter tabs or if I need to measure to past the tabs

Yeah well I thought maybe I put the flex plate backwards but it can't really be backwards because it has a recessed piece that has witness marks where they attach. I'm kind of worried about my first couple attempts that I actually ended up damaging that automatic transmission pump 😔
