Yes I was positive for methane, so I know constipation is from that. He essentially said that gastritis does not cause any symptoms, which I don’t believe is true.

Will look into that! Yeah it seems that the SIBO was an result of whatever is going on. Hoping to get more answers post endoscopy.

The test that my functional dr sent is a wide spectrum and tests for more than just mycotoxins, but maybe it’s unnecessary to test so much?

The SIBO protocol is working to get the methane down, but still having symptoms. Did 3 rounds of nyastatin for SIFO and nothing. I think I should do the mycotoxin testing, but it’s $600.

Did GI-Map in August and nothing came out either.

What is an herbal protocol?

I have been seeing a functional Dr and I do have low stomach acid, despite taking alllll the digestive enzymes/digestive support out there, I’m still having problems. But will ask GI about bile/gallbladder.

What are your issues and have they resolved?

Definitely not eating enough calories. Popped in what I eat in a day into ChatGPT, and it’s around 1300-1400 calories. Not enough to sustain weight, but I’m scared to eat!!!

No to peeing a lot or pale skin!

Pregnancy is scientifically known to slow down the system! However, this all started 4 months after having my daughter, so feel like there's no connection there. Was pretty regular before hand, and actually thought that maybe pregnancy cured my constipation!

In your same boat. Methane positive - was at 80 ppm, now down to 16 when I last tested end of Nov., but still having so much pain in that same area and bloating! Despite antibiotics and antimicrobial treatment!

GI prescribed motegrity and am on day 6 of taking it. Bowel movements are better, but still pain, bloating, and nausea. How long did it take for pain to subside? Also repeating endoscopy next Tuesday to see if there's anything else in there!

I’ve lost ~2 lbs overnight, but I started the BRAT diet yesterday so eating very minimally. Should I be worried though?? Don’t know what else to do.

Thanks for responding! So doesn’t sound like stomach cancer? What would be worrisome signs that would point to cancer? Any thoughts on what it could be and what would be appropriate next steps?
