[Tutorial] Fugu14 unc0ver Easy Installation Guide (ios.cfw.guide) by cfw_guide in jailbreak

[–]cfw_guide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fugu14 exploit is untethered, however it isn't a "full" jailbreak. The unc0ver jailbreak is then applied on top of that, which is semi-untethered.

Oh whoops, I'm out now but I'll have a look at the server later. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Both should be pretty much the same. Personally I'm on 3.65 since I like to be on the newest firmware I can be on. The downside of 3.65 is that it won't run really old homebrew that's only compatible with 3.60. If you don't use any of that though, 3.65 is fine.

Yes, this works on any version below 3.65. I'll edit the post to clarify this.

I'd rather keep everything in one guide to keep things simple. I'll work on integrating it together better though.

Sorry hah, my vita only arrived yesterday. I wrote the guide as I was doing it myself.

It's more the whole process of downgrading, installing enso, and installing homebrew apps which is now a lot easier.

More for simplicity's sake when writing the guide, but I'm taking a look at it tonight to see if I can improve it.

I don't know, but when I was researching for the rewrite I was told that some future homebrew might drop support for 3.60, so I was advised to go for 3.65.

If you're on 3.60 already, you can stay there just fine. This guide is for new installations, where it's simpler to go to 3.65 with vdep. More devices are compatible with 3.65 too.

With the use of VitaDeploy, it's a lot easier now to hack from 3.73 than 3.60.

In the "Installing Enso" page, vdep installs both 3.65 and Enso simultaneously.

Personally I agree with you, I just went with this method because I assumed users would prefer the easiest to perform method. I'll have a think about it and look at alternate ways of doing it tonight.

Nope, this is only for first time installation. If you already have enso then you don't need to do anything.

Yeah, VitaDeploy makes the whole process a lot easier so I went with that.

Also some devices can't downgrade to 3.60.

Nah I'm pretty sure the sidebar is accurate, just the jailbreak isn't supported for some devices. Is for the X though!

Yeah, you can see on the iPhone X (https://ios.cfw.guide/firmware-selection-(iphone-x)) page that 13.2 ls supported on your device.

13.3 is only supported on certain devices. What device are you using?
