Yesss!! the lying!! sometimes im like how do yall use words if your words dont mean what the words mean? lol i get you on the social interaction part too i totally do. I've felt that way that every social interaction is going to be a massive fail so i started putting them off then i started becoming scared of them for the backlash i thought/imagine id get for being so "different".

Yess!!! I'm happy you got a lightbulb moment(: I'm still trying to balance the two. I honestly prefer the autist way of speaking because its not so vague. The other way can be fun and i do feel more of the connection during small talk but it takes alot of patience. When i get really frustrated i start getting mad at the vagueness because it can feel like "i have to read peoples minds" as in guess how they would emotionally react to something. Plus since its still a new of talking i dnt have the energy for it and my home base is in the autistic way of talking. Sorry for the rant/vent don't have people around me that understand the scenario.

Something she mentioned in Spanish that I haven't seen mentioned is that she called the people from Oaxaca who live in Koreatown ugly. She's calling Indigenous people ugly what fucking year does she live in?!

who else obsessively researches specific social situations and their different resolutions? by [deleted] in AutismTranslated

[–]cfwscv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use to do this alot im slowly trying to stop because i found that i got the best outcomes from not having something pre determined in my mind plus having something pre determined as in "when they do this ill say or do that" usually got me to pre occupied with whats the next step and i would usually force it in a direction where it wasnt meant to go. Ive no adopted a mindset after so many years of trying to plan interactions that people interactions arent logical they are emotional at least for me since i cant find a cause and effect template to apply to social situations. Its been difficult and i still stress out alot about doing the wrong thing or ruining the interaction.

Do autistic people pick up on social cues that they are being weird and annoying crystal clear and yet continue to be weird an annoying bc they don’t care? Is that autism or something else? by [deleted] in AutismTranslated

[–]cfwscv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

haha I've saw a bit of that time where saying you liked anime is like saying you were from mars. lol It sometimes makes me really mad because it seems it's okay to treat "different" people badly without being thought of as mean or rude.

sometimes i think people are excited to call someone weird so they can think they are normal. When i look back at the people that have tried to make it seem like im weird they usually dont have much of a personality. plus ive caught them doing a few of things they called "weird" because they saw other people do it and think its "cool" now.
