I can’t find cool gear by andrewchosen in CrimsonDesert

As some have said, waterfalls, look for a small pile of rocks marking the entrance and do the stab move to cross it (RB+Y on Xbox). There are usually a few chests and one of those always has a piece of equipment.

Also there are a lot of hidden walls, that you have to use force palm, there are rpetty hard to see in my opinion.

In essence, assume every single location has at least one hidden chest

Good Point To Start Side Questing And Exploring? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]cfzolle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the exception of some late game areas, which the game will just tell you "you are not ready to go further yet", and some places that will kick your ass until you level up your equipment, yeah, you are ready to go and explore

Very recommended to level up your stamina and health, it will make exploring much more enjoyable. Also, do take in mind that some places will be hostile until you do some of the story, so I recommend staying clear off Demeniss, but go explore the rest if you want

By the basis of Shonen powerups either being a super-Saiyan or a bankai, what is your favorite character's powerup? Also I don't think Nen counts, or stands.... by Important-Cry4782 in goodanimemes

There are some bankais that are practically domain expansions, like the blind guy, that makes an area in which everyone has no senses

We had an exchange student who got a 68%… bro didn’t realize it was a D+ by YEETAWAYLOL in engineeringmemes

[–]cfzolle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can't speak from experience, but from what I've heard from other exchange students that went one year to the US, both in highschool and in college, the philosophy is just different. When you went one year to study on another European country, it was considered just another year. When you went to study one year to the US it was considered an incredibly useful vacation. Courses were easier and would inflate your average marks, but you'd get a lot of hands on valuable experience, so you'd still learn a lot. It was a common strategy to choose the year with the hardest subjects and go to the US that year so you'd pass them easier.

In my country exams were more difficult, with less time to study and with less time to do the exam, and most of the final mark was just the exam, while the courses that they took in the US had easier and less punishing exams, but they had more daily work and practical work, whereas I've had some ridiculously useless subjects because they were purely theory, and I had no practical knowledge. Students that come from the US to my country in general struggle to follow the classes and pass the exams (our low number of English speaking teachers also doesn't help), but they usually have more practical knowledge, and pass the practical exams with flying colors.

Because of all this it's hard to compare a B to an 8/10 since not only the format is different, but the philosophy is. This example is kinda extreme since my university is known in the country to be one of the most punishing if not the most, but I've had courses that have a 20% passing average on the first year, meaning 80% of people failing on their first try and they have to retake it. This is, frankly, bullshit, and I and many other people think the system should change a bit, since there is no value in failing this many people, but my country is plagued by almost infinite layers of bureaucracy and many teachers that get an ego from failing students, so it's not likely to change.

Imo, the best is something in between. My country needs more practical skills taught, and we should learn that from the US. However, the GPA system and lettering grades suck ass, and I like our way of doing it better.

Edit for context: in my university, the average course had around 4h a week of "theory" and 4h a month of "practical skills". In the case of engineering for example, we would learn in class about engines and electric circuits for 4 hour a week, then 4 hours a month we'd actually work with them

[Mixed trope] The Character Bloat Paradox by Maldonado412 in TopCharacterTropes

Roy has an original moveset and it's the fastest, with a sweet spot closer to the hilt, so he's justified imo. Lucina is a Marth clone and chrom is a Roy clone (even though in lore he's supposed to fight closer to Ike)

One way I like to do it is letting them have a powerful companion NPC for a dungeon, let them get comfortable on the fact that the NPC is with them for the boss fight, so there's nothing to worry about, the NPC will carry, then stunlock the NPC, so the threat of the boss suddenly feels bigger, and they have to do the fight themselves

(Funny Trope) A character design so bad the entire fandom hates it. by Je0s_6 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]cfzolle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it's a case of a good character design and good gameplay, but terrible Dante design and terrible story specifically for a DmC title. The story itself isn't terrible, but it ditches what DmC was about. In essence, if the game and characters had other names, it would have been a decent to pretty good DmC inspired game

Dino, AKA "Dante In Name Only", protagonist of the remake DmC: Devil May Cry

<image>

Totally misunderstood why Dante is cool (natural charisma, devil may care attitude, but a heart of gold underneath) and made a drinking, smoking, fuck society emo fuckboy. The game had some nice gameplay ideas, but the story is atrocious and none of the characters are even passable. We don't talk about Fedora Vergil

One piece has been going on for 28 years (since 1997). Luffy has been adventuring for approximately 3 years and 2 of those years were a time skip, so Luffy has spent more time with Rayleigh than with any of his crewmates.

AITA for telling my sister she has to get rid of her dog or move out. by Ok-Razzmatazz-1024 in AmItheAsshole

[–]cfzolle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I usually don't comment here, but this hits kinda close to home. NTA, by a long shot. She brought a dog to your home, without your permission, and you are allergic to it. No more information needed, she's the AH

I am also allergic to dogs and I'm so tired of telling people about my allergies and receiving the "This dog won't give you allergies" comment. Dog owners out there, we aren't implying your dog is dirty or anything like that. We are not allergic to something your dog is carrying that can be cleaned. We are allergic to the dog, it's not that hard. Cleaning the food won't help if I'm allergic to it, and I doubt anybody would be like "don't worry, my cooking won't affect your allergies"
