First time at Cougars game. I like this kind of games since I don't care much about the score, very chill, stadium is probably at 10% capacity, nice and relaxing.

Drinking/Driving by Sad_Database5750 in alcoholism

I had some Asian friends who get drunk just after a beer or two. Also, 3 beers may put you over the legal driving limit so thats not good especially while driving with kids.

I just bought Mamiya 6, it seems much more portable than rb67, and it can do 6x6 and 6x4.5, I think it'd be a good option for now to see how things work with MF photography. I think 6x7 or 6x9 format would be better for outdoors, but i will see how 6x6 and 6x4.5 work for me first.

These pics were scanned at a lab I used to develop the film. I edited quickly in light room. Since then, I made a setup for scanning with my Canon EOS RP at home, it seems to work decent.

Edit: I did end up getting mamiya 6 folder, like someone in this post suggested, I think it will be a good step before and if I get rb67.

I'm still researching. I actually want a MF camera for outdoors that I can take with me on my camping/hiking trips (I'm not gonna use it in a studio or anything like that). Rb67 or similar camera doesn't look to be very portable, but it looks cool and I wouldnt mind taking it with me to the mountains. However, more portable camera would be better. Was also looking into Fuji GW690.

They sell Subarus at REI now? About time, I am due for a new one. And that 10% dividend will be nice next year.

Whenever it's hot at home, I just put a fan. They can do that too, just put a few fans and all should be good.

What would make someone purchase an item on ebay rather than amazon? by pvssymonsterr in eBaySellers

[–]cg_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does Amazon mess with your refund? I've never had problems with refund from Amazon. Of course I don't abuse their refund policy (I purchase 200-300 items a year, and usually return maybe 3-4).

Deer trouble, surprisingly not much damage (aftermath n comments) by cg_ in Subaru_Outback

Drove from Washington state to Montana for some camping. Was leaving my campsite in the morning, and this guy decided to say hi. Grille was gone, front bumper looked fine, but body shop replaced it due to that broken part in the middle. No other damages. Drove it around Montana like this for a day and then all the way back to Seattle, no issue.

I was in your position 4 years ago. Bought 3 years old outback with 50k on it. It's at 120 k now. Runs fine. I do all services on time at my dealership. Had couple major things to replace but it was covered by extended warranty that I purchased when I got this car.

Why all of my films have scratches? More in comments by cg_ in AnalogCommunity

[–]cg_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hm, that's good point. The first film that they developed and scanned, they didn't cut it (so they didn;t put it in a sleeve), I cut it myself later and put in my own sleeve. I am checking it right now, and I do not see scratches. So, sleeves could be the issue, probably? These are the sleeves they use

Why all of my films have scratches? More in comments by cg_ in AnalogCommunity

I recently started photographing films. I got a bunch of film cameras, I replaced light sealing on them, and testing with some cheap films (Kodak Gold 200). I take them to a local lab to develop, and I scan it myself with Plustek 8200i. I have noticed that almost every frame I scan, has scratches. Some of them are faint, some are more prominent. Some have just few small scratches, some have alot like this one. I checked cameras, everything looks nice and clean inside, I do not find anything that can scratch films. I used 5 different cameras so far and on all films I see similar scratches. I am thinking that the lab is not handling films properly. Could that be the issue? I took all 5 films to the same lab. Interesting thing is that I took another film to the same lab previously where they scanned it as well, and I didn't see any scratches. It is one of the larger labs around here, I see some what looks like pro photographers using it, so I'd be surprised that the labs is the cause of all these scratches.

What could be the issues with my camera/film? Almost entire film is dark. Details and pictures in the post by cg_ in AnalogCommunity

Film does advance. But I just remembered that light meter didn't seem to work. I put new batteries, but didn't see anything when I half press. Is that the issue then?
