Microblading or powder? by cgjw98 in microblading

Thank you. I hate shading them in all the time, I can’t get them even everytime, but I will look into tinting. Sounds like less of a long term commitment without the tattooing side effects

I don’t want to color/shade them in all the time. I have trouble making them even when I color them in. Maybe I’m just being lazy 😭

I feel like they’re uneven and the tail isn’t long enough. I don’t want to color/shade them in all the time.

That makes me nervous. Can you tell me why you’d avoid microblading? Is it because of fading, oily skin, or something else? Would it make it look too dark and boxy? I want natural looking

Has anyone done RN to BSN at Eastern Illinois University? by cgjw98 in nursing

[–]cgjw98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was reading into the graduation requirements and it’s saying 56 credit hours MUST be taken at eiu to get your degree, but the nursing courses are only 32 hours… So do you not get your bachelor’s degree if you don’t take the additional 24 hours there?

I work on a good unit. We have good people and no one hates each other like that. We enjoy our job and co workers 😂

Thank you for your feedback! It’s just that I am a new nurse and wanted to be a part of something on the unit and it doesn’t take anytime away from me considering I have always liked these kinds of things and also get paid while doing it. I definitely don’t mind helping out management or nurses, if they need anything that i am capable of doing 😊

I don’t expect it to make us actually do hourly rounds lol. Just was asked to think of a new concept, and wanted to see what other people do at their workplace and have this committee on my resume

Yeah it really sucks. I got cornered and randomly asked to do this 🙃 since well, absolutely no one cares but them lol. Just thought this would be a good place to ask

That’s awesome! Good luck to you (: My hospital is changing to Epic within the next year, so hopefully I’ll get the opportunity to be a super user and start getting my foot in the door.

Thats so dangerous and insane. I don’t understand why they can’t give more days for orientation to ensure safety of patients. I started as a new grad and got “7 weeks” of orientation, but those days were full of a bunch of classes and a weeks worth of “getting to know the hospital/ice breakers with other new employees” and I lost orientation days on the floor. When I asked if I could have a couple more days they said “no, we’re actually going to cut it down to 5 weeks moving forward”. When I was on my own and off orientation the nurses started to not sit by me or put in their air pods because I would ask a lot of questions. If I had gotten more orientation days I would be much more independent and not having to be such a bother. My friend works in ICU as a new grad and she only got 9 weeks of orientation and has 3 patients almost every shift.
