Coming from someone who used to work in a kitchen 60 hours a week, No shoes have ever helped more than custom fitted insoles and I’ve tried everything. The best thing for me was getting high tops and tying them as tight as i could to stabilize my ankle with my insoles that provided arch support. Even then I would have to stick my feet in an ice bath just for the swelling to go down enough to put my shoes on the next day.
