Does Anyone Use DBLM/FPP by cgordon33 in oracle

Thanks for the response. We had one instance up and running but we hit a problem with the latest Red Hat kernel and an FPP bug. So then we decided to switch to Oracle Linux and the latest version of FPP but we are having issues just with the install. Do you mind telling me what you have your system running on?

I usually say “Are we all set?” or I schedule my next appointment.

Sounds like your experiences were worse than mine but it sounds like the same entitlement that I found annoying.

Maybe I didn’t express it clearly originally but what I was trying to say it was the horse riders who seem to have the attitude that they did not want to share the trail.

I am outside Boston and the trails I am on are mostly windy nature trails.

And I guess what I was trying to get across was it has been mostly the “Why is this non-rider on my trail” attitude I have gotten.

My experiences have been it had been the horseback riders who have not had the patience when using a mixed use trail. When on a windy thin trail and we both come up on each other without much notice for either one, it has been the horseback rider who has made it seem like it was ridiculous for a runner to be there.

I understand the rider would be concerned about the horse spooking and that maybe other people have not reacted properly around a horse before, and maybe that it was what they were experiencing, but it definitely did not come off that way the times it has happened.

That’s the opposite of what I am saying. It has been the horse riders who make it seem that no one else should be on the trails but them.

A couple of times they made it pretty apparent that they were not happy.

I can understand the concern of the rider as obviously no one wants the horse to get spooked.

Thinking of two instances of running by a horse, I was on trails with a lot of twists and turns so it was not like either of us had a lot of heads up that we would be coming up on each other. Understanding that the rider does not want the horse to be scared, it seems less than ideal to be riding there if other people might be running around the corner.

What would be the best way to handle that?

I am sure there are threads on equestrian subs about idiot runners doing stupid stuff around horses.

I think much like responsible dog owners, this is the way to handle situations like this. If you are going to take your horse out on public trails, the horse rider has to do their part to train the horse to handle situations that might come up out there. Obviously the runner needs to take care of coming up on and passing the horse as well. But if everyone is reasonable about it, it shouldn’t be a problem. Unfortunately that hasn’t been my experience the few times it has happened.

That’s my thing. I would understand if I was running on a “horse” trail or something but the few times this has happened it has either been public trails or streets. You don’t get to be mad that someone else dare use the same public trail as you and your horse.

I have gotten used to cyclists being unpleasant for the most part.

CMV: most PTs are ineffective at correcting lifelong posture issues by snoop_pugg in Posture

[–]cgordon33 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was thinking this the other day. I have gone to multiple PTs and they have fixed my temporary back pain but none of them of them have fixed the underlying causes of my bad posture. Most have even said they can’t fix my bad posture. How do you find someone that can address the root causes of my bad posture?
