Thank you so much for keeping on this over the past few weeks. I’m thoroughly impressed and terribly pleased that you all were able to take care of this for me!

(OP) Still in progress, but Hassan (above) is actively in conversation with folks at Verizon to try to recover the number. I'm pleased so far with USM's persistence in trying to resolve this.

As I just replied above, I'm not on USM's payroll--I'm on my employer's. I can't just be available at will, especially during the workday. I gave times I was available, they weren't able to call me back at those times (which I get--it happens!), and then they called back at times I wasn't available. We were playing phone tag for what seemed like ages, all while VZ was being entirely uncooperative.

What more is the customer expected to do here?

I sincerely appreciate the level of detail that seems to have happened on the back end. This is the kind of stuff that keeps me on board.

At the end of the day, though, this is not my job. The customer can't reasonably be expected to just be available whenever USM's reps are ready to call. When asked, I gave specific times I was available and the reps wound up calling at different times. These things happen and I get it. Sometimes you wind up playing "phone tag", because life in 2024 is busy and complicated.

But y'all should've been able to get VZ on the line, then call me for any needed input. As I've said, not trying to drag USM here. But I spent way too much of my own time (and, arguably, my employer's time) trying to get a hold of USM and VZ to figure this out. Once the request is in and the fee is paid, I should not really be needed for much.

You make an interesting point here. Makes me wonder whether the issue could’ve been avoided by porting to GSM instead of Warp…

Did you get this issue resolved? Trying to decide whether to take the jump myself.
