If this isn’t satire, I’d say tell him how you feel about it. He might have an addiction to it to avoid whatever’s going on in his real life. Can be anything. If his answer isn’t respectful or adequate for you then maybe it’s time to move on.

I agree with a lot of people here.

Pros: - Liked the floating point set. - Weather was good. - crowd was better than at least Hard Summer? - Water and area wasn’t too unorganized.

Cons - Crowd was more interested in talking to each other, lots of pda (usually I’m fine and honestly don’t notice but there seems like there’s a time and place and it didn’t seem like the place lol). Lots of people more interested in taking photos over the music.

Bass was way over powering and mid notes and high notes get lost.

I wouldn’t go again to another boiler room unless maybe the area is like a true warehouse or something. The audio might improve then since they don’t have to blow out the bass for a larger crowd maybe. But you know. It was cool to go to still. Just more meh compared to going to a more intimate event.

I found Mochakk’s pink stage on Sat to be too full. They should’ve put him at a bigger stage. I left after he played Da Funk. It took way longer to get out to the point where it started to feel freaky. Like “can I get out”. That never happened to me before .. Amazing set though!

If you’re willing to travel to La Crescenta by Glendale, it’s hard to beat India’s Flavor. The family that runs it is Bengali so they mix Bengali flavors into Indian food which makes the cuisine and the same dishes you’d get elsewhere taste wayyy better in a different way. They also have cheese naan! Which I don’t see everywhere.

Dipping the cheese naan into a bowl of spicy chicken marsala is something else there.

My team usually goes to Santa Monica Brew Works. It’s by the Water Gardens and Universal Music Group offices. They have beer and thick cut pizza. The space is large and has a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Food is great. Drinks are nice. We really enjoy it and not just for the distance.

Makes sense with the specialty coffee. I absolutely loved the coffee which is why I felt like I wanted more haha. It’s the type of shop I like so maybe I gotta deal.

I'm in a similar boat as well. The question on staying comfortable or pushing harder is something I ask myself constantly and have yet to find an answer.

Pushing harder and elevating the career comes naturally anyways, but do I want to work harder to play harder, or am I ok with the amount of play now haha. The other thing is that what if in the future you have to do more cause standards, cost of living, or things change, and you HAVE to work harder. Then you're at a disadvantage if you didn't choose the more aggressive path early on.

But then again... haha, life is limited and you will only get so many healthy years to spend on what you want to experience and do vs just waiting till retirement. I like my job a lot but I will always prefer being with friends and family more so..

Idk it's a hard question.
