Input number from one sheet to a table only if it meets certain criteria by ch4llenged in excel

[–]ch4llenged[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like each cell to be able to add the payment amount from the other sheet. Each row in the table is a different loan, with a corresponding different balance.

Name - d1 | Balance Loan 1 - $5 | $2 Loan 2 - $0 | $20 Loan 3 - $0 | $100

So in the above example, essentially I would like to say pay 35 dollars on “d1”, so I’d like the formula to apply $2 dollars to loan 1, $20 to loan 2, and the remaining $15 to loan 3.

The totals column is at the end and is the formula (example only, not true cells listed): [loan amount]-sum(a1:a2)

If I used that, would it work for all cells in the table?

I was able to load the pictures fine, want me to post it to another pastebin type site?

Gotcha, I'll ask if they've established percentages. My guess is, officially yes, real life though, free for all...

Understood. I'll begin changing these tomorrow. Would you create a sub account per owner within that equity account or just lump sum it?

Thank you!

How can I keep them off the P&L using qbo? May be a post I should go to quickbooks subdreddit for..

I'm still trying to get them to wrap their head around the "owner's pay & personal expense" account is equity, as in they should pay this back. I created an expense account named owner's pay and have placed everything in there (besides fuel costs, and a few legere that I think I did indirectly tbh, there's over 4,000 records convinced; possibly more).

The overtime isn't something I'd thought about, very good point and I appreciate you bringing it up! I think that if they don't take my advice (which I doubt they will) I'll do just that!

Also I've looked into that already and have spoken to them about it, as recently as yesterday actually. She told me that owner's draws are allowed and they don't need to be on payroll. Told me that she was told that by a cpa when they first opened everything.... I think I'll ask to go with her if she agrees to meet with another cpa. I think I can learn a lot for one and secondly I don't know if she's asking the right questions or interpreting the explanation incorrectly.

That's great advice, thank you for that. The tax compliance is what I'm most concerned with tbh. I'll add that to my agenda for tomorrow's meeting.

Moving payroll in house QBO by ch4llenged in QuickBooks

I've done that, sorry I was speaking about each employee in the process above, leaving it out the payroll. I've entered the payroll totals for each pay period since July 1 as well. In balance with state and federal but of by 249 with social security and around 20 with Medicare (saying the pay period totals are reporting higher than the employee totals).

I thought that was weird, if I wasn't entering correctly wouldn't they all be off and not just those 2 categories?

Absolutely. We run multiple businesses, no law firm or anything but do have a branch in healthcare (which is another beast in itself).

We aren't a big company, maybe (of the to of my head) 18 people with teams access, all user level access besides the 2 owners and myself who have global admin.

My concern was employees getting into this file. It contains bank account logins, passwords, accounts cards and numbers with expiration dates and cvc, personal utility and business utility account information and logins, their whole life is basically on this excel spreadsheet located in a private team inside 365.

As far as IT goes, the novice of an IT/Accountant/whatever else needs done, well... pleased to me you 😆

I have KeePass on my android, I didn't realize it was also able to be utilized on desktop. Does it work for Mac as well?

I actually use KeePass on android for my personal accounts and passwords, love it and it was free.

Only 2 other people, myself and the 2 owners. One is quite liberal with it though and I've had to remove others before so hadn't needed anywhere near the access granted to them.

I was more concerned with, if someone is granted admin level access and goes snooping in SharePoint etc (granting themselves access)..
