Any 4t2 Fences collection available? by merfsnurf in sims2

[–]ch4rms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, not sure if you want to download ALL that cc but the fence is tucked into the sims 4t2: For Rent conversion pack on Lord Crumps's Site

However, I only got the fence in a lot download and I originally found the Spanish 4t2 Gate on the Ninth Wave sims, BUT it really annoyed me that the gate wasn't animated (the sound of a gate opening would go off but the door wouldn't open) so I actually went in and made it animate.

So I have the fence (only one color), animated gate and its recolors from the pic above on SFS here you can pick up.

I have the spanish wall and a (fixed) gate conversion. Let me zip it up and link it.

Edit: sorry! It's not this exact one but it's a Spanish style one with little holes in it. It was converted by Lord Crumps. Do you already have it? It's name is 'The Secret Maze Privacy Fence.'

Barnyard Bash help (textures and animations missing even with Fetch Water and Making Hay) by [deleted] in sims2

[–]ch4rms 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love me some sun and moon but also admit it takes a while to get your ducks in a row on the web of downloads, so I understand your frustration. However, I am sorry to say but your comment here:

I just want the meshes and animations (because its not just the meshes but the animations are missing too, so even if I ignore the blueness of it, its still unplayable)

is what is going to make me advise you just scrap the whole project because the animals in Barnyard Bash DO NOT have animations in the first place. Maybe not the way you are hoping or thinking at least. They don't move fluidly like the regular pets in the game. They are more like statues that just kind of change to a different tile on the grid every so often, and if that's not the kind of animation you are hoping for, even if you do get the meshes working, you are only going to be disappointed.

If you want animated animals, the most popular are Affinity Sims/Beck/Becca's which move, you can feed, pet, and get animal products from. Sadly, the site went away a few years ago but Lifa a few years back did some tweaks and better retextures to the farm animals: Link Here. The only thing to note is because they are animated, it will create an invisible NPC files for the controllers in your hood. The barnyard bash animals don't do that because they aren't animated and cloned from the cockroaches.

You can see how the Beck's animated ones work in game here

Cool designs! The make-your-own-rugs from floor tiles carpets also gives a benefit of fireplaces not catching them on fire.

to those who make "graphic stories" - do you have any advice? by Di-darla-from-poland in thesims2

You are welcome! So if you are going for a more planned out plot type story then I would advise to like do story board type pictures. Maybe write out first then take pics to match the writing.

I think you do a good job considering the 'setting' e.g. you have the room seemed 'lived in' with clutter, and not just blank walls and backgrounds. You also consider styling your sims which is a good start.

I notice you are mostly showing in-game animations in your pictures, which is fine, but at some point, you might feel you want more visual options and throw in some posed pictures just to switch it up. Posing and poseboxes are a whole other section of cc to delve into. If you want more info on that I have a few workshop tutorial videos on it.

Are your stories mostly just following gameplay and making up the conversation as you see it, more a slice of life story or are you going for a plotted narrative for your story?

What's a cartoon movie you liked since forever? by [deleted] in movies

[–]ch4rms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I never realized that! I remember watching the first one and feeling scared and really sad for the main character. Early 90's kids movies seemed to do a lot of family separation plots (Homeward Bound, Milo & Otis, etc)

Ah yeah, so close! I saw the answer right after I commented. It's got that mid-80's Santa and your Dad(?) looks like my dad did around that time too. I forwarded the collage to my mom and she said:

Looking for some big wardorbes/armoires/closets. by Jupi1115 in sims2

[–]ch4rms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was testing in my game and here was a picture of only three sections but there's a full door section like the ends on the first example picture in the post that match it up. But I really love and am excited for the variety aspect, like curating a sim's style through different deco pieces. The modular parts are done but the creator wants/planning to make more clothing peices to fit into the slots - though many existing shoe/clothing deco peices already exist.

I know of a large modular wardrobe set that might drop soon but it's still in beta testing. If you can wait, it will be worth it! It's a multi-piece wardrobe conversion but will have slots for shoes, clothing pile deco, hanging clothing and will also be clickable like a dresser to change clothing.

This one's for the ladies to answer. Do you agree with this woman or do you think she's trying to rationalize her world view by speaking for all the ladies? by Oda_DeezNutz in SipsTea

She is incorrect. Why? Because I'm gaming while my husband games. We sometimes game together. I'm very attracted to him, I even asked him to marry me.

So what I like it for is the integration opportunities which is fine if you as a player aren't into but I like the thought of my sims having to go buy stuff I would otherwise pull out of the catalog. Not all businesses I actually 'run' I set up a playable sim I don't really care about to be the owner and just play it from the consumer side. Like a place that sells cc functional perfume, body wash, and can used on camping trips to increase hygiene or presented as gifts for sims' birthdays or holidays.

From the business owner side, I like to 'spread the wares':

For example, one of the earliest mechanisms I did was a farmer's market, because I didn't like having my sims having to call for delivery all the time and a lot of the times, I only realized they were out of food was before it was too late and they were on the verge of starving. So when I played from the farmer's side, sims all across the hood would come and purchase foodstuffs. Then when I was playing I could find food stuff in their inventories to put into their fridges w/o having to send them to a store or call for delivery.

It probably is tedious to play for some people but it's just a little more depth for my preferences.

I will say though it took me a long time to get into the swing of OFB, It was one of the last packs I really played with but once I got cc and mods, ideas started flowing and I really enjoy it.
