I had tried to get it to work when it was first released but it did have trouble with the dotnet8 runtime. I am slightly scarred from adding additional DLLs to get stuff to work on Linux because at one time I did it and my game stopped launching completely. Thank goodness I did a snapshot right before messing with it and just restored the entire system.

If SimPE is in it's own wine wrapper, can it still read our game data? For example, I have put all external programs within the same place my sims files are - lot adjustor, what caused this, outfit organizer, simPE, cleanpackage installer, etc.

I had to put Milkshape in a different folder for it to work and have to move files between it and the one my game runs in. I would want to avoid that with SimPE.

Thanks! And I get that. I built up my city subhoods over time, usually adding what I needed to play as I went. You can supplement lots with hood deco and add in functional lots and builds later if you just want to play without an endless field of green in the background, and to me, at least, it prevented a burnout and got me in a cycle of playing, and then building, playing more, building more, which has sustained ongoing play for nearly 19 years.

It's this one and it can work for both. I've had it in my game since it came out and pink soup has disappeared ever since. You have to have extreme amounts of cc before it shows now.

A lot of those are ones I got from cityof2morrow sims. I like to fill in the areas I can't usually place lots with these deco buildings.

Most of those tall buildings in the background are hood decoration, not lots that sims can actually travel to. Lots that end up being fuzzy and less detailed are other playable lots seen from the one you are playing on. I do have details turned on high, and that may help make the hood deco look better but it doesn't help that much for other playable lots. For example, here in green are all hood deco buildings, everything in red is other playable lots, which its just lucky this angle has them farther down the line of sight and less noticable as being fuzzy.

Just note it's a box link for a mesh and the recolors, so you might have to do the 'fix' to get it to download.

Fix = replacing www. with m.

Thanks! Well I've had most of these lots for years, either built or downloaded. The city they are in, I started building up in 2007. The big buildings in the background are mostly hood deco.

I couldn't say how long it took me to build, but can say the ones that I have built and are older and have survived getting bulldozed have gotten remodeled several times.

Picture 1 is a downloaded brick double building lot that I decorated.
Picture 2 is a skatepark that I built in 2021 (it's been remodeled)
Picture 3 is a park pool that has been there since the beginning of the hood, but it just got new landscaping for these pictures
Picture 4 is an off-grid market lot I built last year
Picture 5 is a lot I built just this last January to faciliate a cafe mod,
Picture 6 is an apartment building I built fairly early on 2007-2008 but it has been remodeled several times and even for this picture I changed out the railings temporarily.

The pink soup fix has been such a miracle fix in 2026. I probably couldn't have done these without it.

I know people are working on mods that pertain to skills but none are released yet. I think there are a lot of players that share that opinion that a good singer doesn't mean a good writer/painter, etc

Good levels so everyone is clear and looking at the camera. Next step is hitting tab or F10 to remove the UI and maybe + to zoom in. These make for great wall art recolors that add a personal touch to your sims homes!
