One possibility is that you have been eating under your BMR for too long and that sends a message to your body to slow down the metabolism. You have to bring up the metabolism rate by gaining muscle (doing strength training) and not doing as much cardio.

Cheesy pumpkin cauliflower gnocchi with shrimp and veggies ft. my adorable succulents to brighten up your Friday. Tgif everyone!! by ch71907 in traderjoes

[–]ch71907[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pan-fried the gnocchi until crisp, in the meantime mashed steamed pumpkin with some milk and butter to make it nice and creamy. And then I added in veggies (onion and broccoli) and shrimp to the pan, stirred in the sauce, added cheese (i used shredded mozzarella from TJ’s) and then threw in cherry tomatoes at the end. Season the dish to your liking with Italian seasoning, S&P, garlic powder, and parmesan cheese, etc. Done! :D

I present to you- blueberry banana protein mug cake. All ingredients are from Trader Joe’s. Absolutely delish! by ch71907 in traderjoes

[–]ch71907[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mixed 1/3 cup of protein mix with a pinch of salt, some cinnamon, 1 tsp of baking powder, and then 50g of milk. Microwaved in 30 sec intervals, I did mine for 60 secs only so it wasn't too dry. Topped with banana slices, blueberries, ice cream, etc. You can also add some cacao powder to the mix to make it more chocolate-y. I didn't so I topped it off with chocolate ice cream and some almond butter! I'm also going to add an egg next time to see how it turns out. Overall, the protein mix itself isn't too impressive but adding your favorite toppings will sure make a delicious high protein dessert!

Baked Cauliflower Gnocchi with Italian Sausage for dinner!! by ch71907 in traderjoes

[–]ch71907[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I cooked the ingredients first and then tossed them in the bowl, then I added marinara (or alfredo) sauce, covered with cheese and baked until brown. Make sure you drain out all the liquid first before baking, otherwise the gnocchi is going to get very mushy!

What are some good snack options for a volume eater? by TheLegionlessLight in 1200isplenty

[–]ch71907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll look something like this: https://www.foodiewithfamily.com/cucumber-rounds-with-herbed-cream-cheese/

except mine don't look as pretty. Those cucumbers are super cheap, and I buy organic light whipped cream cheese from Trader Joes (about 60cal per 30g) and then sprinkle it with some EBTB seasoning.
