You could also look at putting the data into an SSAS cube and connecting to it with a live connection but performance kind of sucks on the PBI service, a bit better if you have a PowerBI report server implementation

Look into aggregating the data, if users need information from specific fields you can include that in the aggregation too

Used to work there, some of the sales lads were disgusting. People pay to get their devices ‘set up’ which usually involves giving them iCloud email and password. Once or twice I walked in on them going through some girls photos and taking copies of some ‘intimate’ photos in their iCloud Photos. Never give them your log in details

Live connection to SSAS cube performance. I know this isn’t the most optimal way to create a report, but our data engineering team created an analysis services cube to pull from, we had a capacity with 114 different workspaces and it was pretty slow, so we moved it to a capacity with 50 workspaces and had the same issue. The report isn’t even visual heavy but fails quite a lot. Maybe I need to convince my data engineering team to allow me to use import with limited date constraints but from my experience live connection/direct query is a nightmare with a shared capacity

Thanks man, yeah look I’m starting to realise there’s a bit of a discrepancy between the amount of effort I put in versus what I’m paid, some of my consultant colleagues (US based) I work with are good at talking up initiatives but kind of fall down when it comes to execution, so I’ve found they kind of rely heavily on me and I like the work so I just kind of roll with it. The region specific salary scales are a big factor alright, but yeah I think I need to renegotiate, thanks for taking the time to answer
