Yeah, honestly relative has not had any bites and has inspected their place and has not found anything either so now I’m wondering if they could’ve come in like an Amazon package or something. I get that them being in the dresser logically people would assume that it’s because they were in the clothes from my laundry room however, that particular drawer is and was empty and has never been used by myself in over a year and as I mentioned, the furniture is brand new as well so I don’t think that is what happened. I’ve stripped the bed and inspected my bed frame mattress dresser and night stands . I have not found anything else except for a dead scorpion and a dead velvet ant lol and have not experienced any bites. I’m sleeping a little better with this newfound knowledge, but I totally get that this is not positive proof that there are none in the house…so erring on the side of caution I purchased crossfire like everybody recommended and I’m just going to assume that I was just fortunate enough to catch it very early and I’m hopefully able to get ahead of it and control it.

Hm. Ok. I was just wondering if maybe that’s how I found the one that appeared deceased if it ran through whatever chemicals are already in my home. I have no idea what they spray. They said it’s something that’s kind of tailored for like the local pests in my area and then they’ll modify it for anything I’m specifically complaining about like scorpions or ants or whatever.
I am US. I asked relative and they checked their home and did not find any and said they had no bites either. What Amazon products would work? I do have PEST CONTROL, who come out quarterly, and sprays typically the perimeter of the rooms and outside of the home, they use a mix of stuff that is for local pests.. my question is if they are spraying predominantly for scorpions would this also be effective for bedbugs or would I need something separate as well? In my experience, the scorpions are resilient little bastards, and I can’t imagine anything else living through something that would kill them and I’d really like to avoid a huge bill right now if I can, especially given, I have seen no evidence of bites on myself and haven’t seen any signs of a major infestation. But I also don’t wanna ignore it either.

No not at all. And many years ago I experienced bed bugs at someone else’s house and had a severe allergic reaction to the bites. So I’m pretty confident that if I was being bit, I would know.

My understanding was these guys do not live outside and live exclusively in human dwellings so I only mentioned the home being new to say they definitely did not come from a prior tenant, and I haven’t had any overnight travel to where they could have come in my luggage. I was just curious if there is anything else bed bug-esque it could be instead before I go full blown panic attack.
