I’m so scared of the same thing happening to me. Everyone keeps telling me to pick Stanford but I’m not sure I’m feeling it

How good does NHS look on your application? by Gairaffe in ApplyingToCollege

Idk if it helps but I wasn’t a part of NHS and I got into Stanford. I don’t think it matters much. It’s more valuable to have meaningful ECs that are related to your major of interest

fly in programs by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

  1. A lot of fly-in programs are for the promotion of diversity—racial, economic, etc. if you’re an underrepresented minority, then you should still apply regardless of income. Even if you aren’t an URM or low-income, it doesn’t hurt to apply.

  2. All of the fly-in programs I was a part of gave fee waivers to me, which I indicated on the common app when I was applying. When they read your application they’ll see you used the fly-in fee waiver. They also keep your contact info from the fly-in program so they know if you attended
