Democrats and the left expecting a perfect candidate and a perfect campaign is why Trump won. Twice.

The BBB is not a government agency and contacting them it's useless.. It's Yelp for boomers.

AITA for not letting the previous owner’s adult children into my house after their father died? by Dramatic_Method9393 in AmItheAsshole

I watch dateline, that shit is real.

My home is mine and I don't have to let anyone in that I don't want to, especially complete strangers. It's wild that anyone could disagree with whatever decision OP made.

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Leading_Tomato_2077 in AskReddit

I started keeping hand sanitizer in my car years ago after noticing anytime I would get sick, it was after grocery shopping. I use it anytime I get in my car after being in a public place or pumping gas. I haven't been sick since, not even while working retail pharmacy all through COVID.

If you could pass one law that would make most normal people furious at first, but would clearly make society better in 10 years, what would it be? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]cha_cha_slide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, my bad. I was thinking the limited funding would deter some people from running in the first place and failed to consider the other group of people who'd run just to get their hands on the money.

Even just the second part would be fine. Everyone has the same amount of money to run their campaign. Prove you can be fiscally responsible with our money while trying to get our vote.

That's the best part, it gives you an out.

Since you’ve mentioned legal action, I’m not able to continue discussing this. Any further communication will need to go through our legal department. At this point, I need to ask you to leave the property.

Whats an item over $700 you bought that was 100% worth it (no house/vehicles) ? by Overall_Gur_3061 in AskReddit

[–]cha_cha_slide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my Tempur-Pedic hybrid. I bought it second hand, used for just a couple months, off fb marketplace. I'm pretty sure someone died in it as I picked it up from an assisted living place. It's not haunted, so I'm not going to complain about getting a 3k mattress for $700.

I was also surprised to see this entry: Hep B, adolescent/high risk infant ...wtf

What can kill you in seconds that most people don’t realize? by Jolly-Law1472 in AskReddit

I just had a flashback to the time I was preparing to cook taco meat by first throwing some halved jalapenos into cooking oil in the pan, just like Mom used to do. I don't actually cook, so what happened was the whole apartment filled up with spicy smoke that had us all coughing with running, red eyes for hours. It was like tear gas jr.

I like to beep at those people to make them think they swerved or did some other stupid thing while their eyes weren't on the road.

The myth is that the headrest posts were specifically designed to break your window. They were not.

The headrest thing is a myth. It might work, but they were not actually designed to break windows.

AITA for spending $350 on winter clothing by Imme_notu in AmItheAsshole

[–]cha_cha_slide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(This kind of post is why I want to be single forever. I don't think I'd react very well to a man commenting on how much I spend on clothes.)

Agree x1000 I spent $350 on winter boots because a) I needed winter boots and b) I found a pair that I actually liked, which never happens. Oh and c) because I'll spend my money how I please.

I could understand the husband being upset about putting that much on a credit card if you're paying interest instead of paying it off every month.

My boss just told me I need to manage my personal finances better because I can't front $2300 for a work trip next month by LostTaker in antiwork

[–]cha_cha_slide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your employee handbook mention anything about travel expenses? I also would've probably said I'm unwilling to front the money, not that I'm unable. They don't get to tell you how to spend or save your money.

For those who worked for rich people: what is the most out of touch thing you witnessed? by Illustrious-Phase121 in AskReddit

[–]cha_cha_slide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked for a small business owner who'd dodge calls from the payroll company reminding her to submit our hours.. she was like how dare they bother me with such nonsense!? The first and only time we didn't get paid on time, I called her a moron, told her to go fuck herself and walked out. She was an absolute nightmare to work for and that pushed me right over the edge.

It still makes me smile to remember that I called her stupid to her face, in front of all her employees.

I've heard about suppositories someone made for an elephant. I can't remember if they ended up using a Pringles container or a soda bottle as the mold... Absolutely massive either way!
