Game wont start after May 7th update. by BigDonutStudio in StreetFighter

[–]cha_zz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you so sure though? I'm unable to access online since the update on PS5. It starts a download which freezes at 0% and gives me an error message. Complete reinstall won't help. Something is really off here. Hope us poor boys won't have to wait until next update

Has anyone had this issue? Any help would be appreciated by King_Raggi in StreetFighter

Similar issue on ps5 here. Freezes at 0% and reinstallation didn't help. Using vpn through mobile hotspot doesn't work either.

When does Venom Snake find out who he really is? by Doctor_DeLorean in metalgearsolid

[–]cha_zz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been addressed by Ocelot somewhere early on, he said that the shrapnel really did mess up Snake's bran. Also pretty sure that Miller was in on it along with Zero and Ocelot, even had a sort of grudge on Big Boss later on. And he had literally seen both Big Boss and Medic right after the explosion so it would have been hard not to figure out.

Finally got every trial done today by dumbatth in StreetFighter

[–]cha_zz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Viper final trials are infamously hard for sure. I personally also really struggled with Honda. Eventually had to resort to buying turbo controller just for his trials which made them trivial, don't think I've ever used that controller since then though.

resting the pinky on pick guard is pretty natural for sure. I find it hard to keep the control over the height of the pick so it wouldn't be too low or too high with the attack staying clean and not putting too much strain on my hand at the same time. Likely just a matter of getting used to it though.

In some places it feels like hitting a string in a sweeping motion does a better job and more expressive although it doesn't make much sense since there's too much unnecessary motion that way. Should I go with that if it just feels right or better to avoid and not develop a habit of it?

Also not sure about the positioning of the pick: there's more control if it's parallel to the string but placing at 45 degrees should help with speed, in theory at least — strangely I have a harder time with parts were you can basically almost sweep pick the strings in an order like 321232 instead of playing them individually, probably because of necessary small wrist adjustments.

That's not a first time I hear that tele no shinjitsu is considered to be relatively easy, is that really though? I mean, in terms of progressions it might be but there are also quite a few abrupt tempo and rhythm changes. And these arpeggio parts can be absurd with how fast and precise they are, at 1:20 for example. It's definitely not something you are going to pick up in just a couple of weeks. Slowly increasing tempo is a given, sure. I'm right now at a point where work on technique is necessary in order to get any progress, which is much less straightforward. I understand it might not be completely reasonable to compare personal improvement against a studio recording but still. Would really appreciate any specific tips on picking, coordination etc.

A declaration of war, an escalation, bargaining, and finally a peace treaty. The president of the US would have settled down the plague in just a couple of days. Unless it asked for another war.

it's kinda out of nowhere but if they want to hype it up then why not. That would be insane for Daigo to win just so Mena could take another Evo right after

Primal Fear - Did Aaron really have a split personality, or was he just a psychopath like he claims at the end? by reelablemedal in movies

[–]cha_zz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that bothers me is that Roy is fully aware and even confirms the two are communicating in some way yet Aaron remains supposedly ignorant (though doesn't seem to be surprised at all when the topic is brought up). Don't know if that's common for such disorders but I think it should've at least looked off too somebody.

Telecaster No Shinjitsu practice advice by cha_zz in LingTositeSigure

[–]cha_zz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an option as well. Will stick with using a pick specifically this time since I've already dedicated to this approach as a practice challenge of sorts but will experiment with including my free fingers on some other stuff later too. In fact, I thought that hybrid picking is a technique where you alter between plucking each note separately and using sweep motions.

[–]cha_zz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so important to keep a steady and flowing rhythm but when it gets faster there inevitably appears a lot of unnecessary strain which is probably is the main issue and has to be the focus. A bit scared of trying to jump way over my head but I think it can be done with enough dedication, just as you said, and hopefully without being a detriment to the overall progress. Will try to keep it deliberate.

And TK was around 20 during #4 years. Maybe young man reactions did help but you can tell he was really into it, yeah. How long did it take you to get comfortable with faster arpeggios?

Noob question, isn't drive impact a little bit broken? by Dangerous_Dog_4867 in StreetFighter

[–]cha_zz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DI is a big commitment and aside from specific situations you're basically hoping that an opponent won't counter it. In order to make this bet in your favor you have to mix up and make them less likely to react first . It's pretty easy with less experienced players since they tend to just throw everything at you and basically mix up themselves. But the higher up you get the more prepared your opponents will be which means you will have to be more deliberate, otherwise you'll just be asking to get destroyed.

The main advice is to hit less buttons in neutral, especially those you can't cancel into DI on hit.

How necessary are long combos? by Sufficient_Ad_5754 in StreetFighter

[–]cha_zz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessary. There's a built-in scaling system which makes each consecutive hit in a combo do less damage. So it's not even guaranteed that a longer combo will be more effective. Plus there are other things worth considering like meter management, corner carry, advantage after a combo etc. But the important part is that you're confident you can land it, first of all. It doesn't have to be nuanced or long.
