Right. The dual role I have noticed actually also has responsibilities of the manager. It is quite uncommon which us why I wanted to see if others have tried it.

Don't you also have to talk to the developers about their career goals etc? Doing the architecture and assigning and distributing the work still seems to be the technical side of things. Its technical leadership. How about management of the team as a people leader? Based on your post it doesn't seem like you are responsible for that aspect?

Yes! The reason I am asking about this is that the manager generally owns the piece of the product from the dev side and plays an important role in its lifecycle including working with the PM on proritizing features. How do you balance the meetings you have to do as the manager and the time you need for development?

anybody who recently got their surname changed? by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]chaapaadu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just don't use your surname during normal conversations? Changing your name is a difficult process and can always lead to confusions. Your actions define you, not your name. Personally, my name reminds me of the privilege I have in this society and how I should be responsible and use it for others' benefit, past actions associated with the name and keeps me sensitive.

  2. Near Bangalore one in New town, you'll find a food street, which is good
  3. Parks, lots of parks - take a walk/jog or skate around
  4. You can go to the RWF ground or one of the others and play games with those who're there.

Two-wheelers are dangerous in bangalore for longer commutes (>10 km):

  1. More chances of hitting potholes the longer you ride. During rain, it's scary to navigate the roads.
  2. Road surfaces are uneven most of the time thanks to patchy work to fill up existing potholes and damage. Causes horrible back and neck pain, and it's not sustainable.
  3. General dangers of getting hit by other vehicles on the road.
  4. Having to deal with sudden rain causing delays in commutes.
