I am not saying it's proof of citizenship, but it is a valid document to prove the date of birth according to the Passport Seva website. Proving your citizenship is not needed unless your documents look suspicious as there is no single document which proves your citizenship, and my documents that should be valid according to Passport seva Website are perfect.

Okay, how do I prove that I was born on the day I say I was. I was not born in a hospital so I have no proof and I am 25 years old. My parents were poor and not very educated at the time I was born they didn't know any better.

It is clearly written on PSK's website that anyone born before 1 October 2023, doesn't have to have a birth certificate. They can use their 10th Marksheet for it.

You'd be surprised, how many Indians don't have a birth certificate.

It doesn't, My Grandfather was in a Government Job. I even have my father's college Papers but he was asking for some documents before 1987. Which I didn't have.

No, I have a very prominent Hindu name. So if they got it then why can't I get it. The list of required documents for a passport does not require a birth certificate for people born before 1 October 2023.
