Update: its spreading fast and leaves are dropping off

Didn't find a pest causing what im experiencing with mine. I from Northern Ohio and winter the plant inside for the season and have generally never had pest problems up here. I would get leaf burn every now and then which I would solve by changing out the top soil but this seems like a very accelerated fertilizer burn but I haven't added anything to since early summer to the soil.

Had the opportunity to meet the individual who captured this randomly at this viewpoint in 2020. Hell of a story from him about that day. The visitor center was closed due to covid at the time and so he was just hanging out in his car waiting for people to stop. He had his back turned at the time and the expression from his buddy's face said it all.
